@cdeppracing216 That was... so not the message I can't even. Old Dad's isn't, "everything about my generation is perfect, what's wrong is that the next generation thinks they're perfect." Like... that ideology is literally the issue the film had, because BOTH generations think that. Watch Bill Burr actually talk about fatherhood. He talks about how hard it is seeing the behavior his Dad had that scared or hurt him reflected back in his own reflection because he never dealt with it. He talks about his anger not feeling like a problem personally until he saw it hurting his kid, and realized that while he loved his Dad he could be that little bit better than he was by actually processing his anger healthily and growing as a person. Cause fundamentally, Bill's issue wasn't that the world had changed for the worse, it was that he hadn't changed at all and was scared of growing with his kid. It's a lot deeper than you seem to think as an issue.

@@MH3Raiserhe’s not talking about the point of the movie literally most of the Situations he was completely right, like who tf gives their kid a stick right after they pushed a child down? Why would you antagonize a person who you know is going through something and not expect a hostile reaction? Why would you fire people just because their birth date? All of these thing he got mad at is literally justified and he’s in the right.

Old Dad here. Loved this movie. Great movie? No but it nails it where it counts and really drives home you have to do better not just repeat how you were raised. I had great parents and I have to work hard every day to keep doing better than they did for my kids. Not surprised by people that don’t connect with this movie and that’s ok. Not everyone is an Old Dad 😁

I love this movie. At first, it just seems like an angry boomer’s rant about how flawed the world is. Which is funny and brilliant in it’s own right. But if you pay attention, it’s actually about Bill’s own flaws. My favorite scene is when they were in the cab and the driver said the same line he did from the beginning of the movie. That moment, Bill’s character had a good look in the mirror. He realized how he looks to the world. And that’s why he changed and embraced the scooter.

Bobby Cannavale is criminally underrated as a comedic actor. I suggest that anyone who reads this comment, type in "Louis CK's last chance". 7 min clip and Bobby will have you in tears laughing during it.

Big news for guys who say Fight Club is their favourite movie: It's not actually normal or typical for men to be filled with barely-suppressed rage, popping off randomly because you lose control. If that is you, you need help, and I mean that in a non-snarky way. You either have some trauma you need to address, some poor upbringing that needs to be fixed (it's okay to have emotions, learn to process them, not suppress them until you're walking around like a time bomb), or you've a soaring sense of entitlement you need to get over. Also, spend less time on the internet in spaces filled with angry little loser men who make you think this is normal.

society guys have you evolved those around you..society... in youtube. your cast members in my time, 1970, would of used black and white tv with one speaker . now a days there are desktop, laptop, tablet, cell phone & watches to get your message around... you are successful from that... anyone now can be... back then, me, could not. so thank your yard your ceiling your pet your kid your neighbor everyone out side running the city because all that is allowing you to do what you enjoy,,,, don't let it go to your head but you are a role model. i liked that you got something out of this show.... main character not my cup of tea but through your experience there was a lesson learned.... maybe one day you could branch off and become a coach, teacher, influencer... outside your comfort zone... house-city,, and go to others like San Fran, LA.San Diego ... part of tech convention in SF or premier in Hollywood or Comic con in SD... inspire others ...... keep it 100 (real)
