I had odd thighs like the image. About 3 months ago I started to go for walks and a month ago to the gym. Last week I noticed my thighs are leaner and I no longer have that odd pose. Workouts are in addition to giving up sugar in January, wine in March and changing diet to as healthy as possible. I need a new wardrobe.

I’m glad you mentioned menopause and genetics I’m 57 very active. I walk 25kms a weeks do 3 dance classes a week and eat very mindfully but the last 6 months I have crept up in weight. Not a huge amount (was 61kg now 64kg and 175cm) but can’t shift it And it’s in my thighs !!! They are horrible and flabby. The rest of me is fine. I’m going to start this and see how I go. Thank you.

My genetics are so frustrating. If I only had a flat belly I’d be ok with the size of the rest me. At 5’7” and just 118 pounds, it’s so frustrating to see women who out weigh me by a hundred pounds have a flatter stomach.

Watch a you tuber fabulous after 50 she had the same issue and all she did was use castor oil rubbed into her abdomen and she’s says it’s been a life changing for her. Good luck! Also I’d give anything to be 5’7” 😉

Hey. You can actually do this exercise standing too! It won’t have quite the same resistance but you still really feel it, especially after a few sets! Hello Jenna, my doctor said everything you said, but when you said the older we and the longer we've led the sedenary lifestyles the harder it is to get that toned body back, please correct me if I'm wrong. Hey! It’s a good question. Yes, you absolutely can lose fat and tone up/build some muscle. As you enter your mid 30s (ish) you begin to lose muscle mass. Pair this with a sedentary lifestyle and you’re going to lose it much quicker than someone who workouts regularly. It’s harder to build muscle once it’s lost when we’re older, however, it’s not impossible and you can definitely make some serious progress! 😀 My advice is to incorporate a variety of exercise like full body HIIT (with and without weights), Pilates & mobility training, and strength & hypotrophy training (lift heavier and a range of repetitions between 8-12). It’s important also to apply progressive overload. This is when you either increase the weight, or number of reps & sets as your body adapts to the training. You will stop progressing if you do the same thing for too long. Finally, diet is key! You can exercise all day but if you’re consuming more calories than you burn, you won’t lose fat. You must remain consistent with it. Be patient, make it part of your lifestyle and you will get there. 💛

Hey! I have quite bad issues in this area and it doesn’t affect me. However, we’re all different so I couldn’t give you a yes or no answer on this. You’re keeping your back stationary and not putting pressure on it though so it shouldn’t affect this area. Check with a physiotherapist or doctor because they will be able to advise you better than I can 😄🩷

Hi Jenna! Thank you for the wonderful workouts you’re bringing to us.Honesty, I didn’t start working out yet, I feel like I’m pulled back, sometimes I feel afraid of doing it. I start questioning myself if I really can be fit one day? Do I have this consistency to reach my goal and have a healthy lifestyle? Just to let you know, I have a normal BMI, but I still have around 5 kg to loose to fit well. I feel don’t have resistance and I feel very weak in terms of of muscle. Hey! It’s very normal to feel this way, you’re definitely not alone with that, it can be daunting knowing where to start and also here to see this version of yourself you’ve never seen before. You might not think you have the consistency to reach your goal and change your lifestyle, but if you visualise yourself the way you want to be, and see yourself changing and hold those images in your mind AND believe it, you will absolutely find a way to do it. You will make it happen. Take it one day at a time. Choose a few workouts either from my channel or someone else to appeals to you and give them a go. Aim for 3 workouts a week and mix it up, this will give you a good idea of your current fitness level and ability. Remember you can ALWAYS reinvent yourself or adjust your lifestyle any way you want to. It’s all within you ☺️💛👏

Hi khadija. I agree with Jenna totally. I would like to add, please add more protein to your diet;you will start feeling stronger+along with exercise. I've been doing keto for 3 years+recently started feeling weak, no power. I watched Dr. Gabrielle Lyons whose expertise is with the elderly. Everything she says makes sense. As a 67 year old, I upped my protein; chicken, beef, fish, shrimp,along with exercise+ feel much stronger. Thank God, bc feeling weak is no fun. Squats have truly helped my strength. I still hold on to the wall or couch;I am encouraged that I will be doing them on my own soon. Start slow, 3-5, add a few day til you feel better. Please check out CEE- CHERYL COULOMBE. She's my mentor.

If you actually are fat this may be the least comfortable (therefore helpful) way to build inner thigh strength. The leverage and range of motion is much different with added mass, but this makes sense if youre already somewhat skinny.

Yes, if you hold a high percentage of body fat most exercise will be somewhat uncomfortable. If someone is holding extra weight then a caloric deficit is what they should be focusing on. As said, exercise tones the muscle but you need to lose the fat to reveal it.

I think weight loss starts with an attitude adjustment. If your brain isn't 100% into it, for yourself, diet won't work. It's a lifestyle change. Portion control, consistency , otherwise you stay just as you are.

Speaking to a dietitian helps for the small things we overlook that has a big impact! I spoke with mine this week and while I was walking and eating healthy I wasn’t intaking enough calories 😂 needless to say my goal for the next month is to eat to goal and from there working on macronutrient percentages.

Hey. Given that a bed is not a flat stable surface you will really struggle to maintain good posture and technique and could cause yourself an injury. It definitely is best done on a stable surface.

You should be burning far more calories than this. Naturally your body will be burning more. Put your stats into a BMR calculator, this will give you an indication of how many calories your body naturally burns in a completely rested state. Just Google BMR calculator 😊

Hey! For some it might be difficult. However it really does depend on the ability of the individual. I’ve had people perform this exercise who have bigger thighs and hips. A good tip is to really work hard to keep your core and back strong, this helps to support the movement.

It’s a very short video and you were aware of the length when you clicked on it. It’s important that I include all necessary information at the beginning so you are not mislead into thinking that exercise alone will help you achieve the results. This is not how it works and unfortunately people are searching for a quick fix that doesn’t exist.

What do you mean doesn’t work? 😂😂 of course you won’t see results by watching a video. If you can’t feel the muscles working then you’re simply not using the correct technique and engaging the right muscles. 😄. Hot tip 🔥: do it consistently for months, make exercise and good nutrition habits a priority in your life. That’s the only way you ever get results with it.
