Man you have to love hydraulics. I love seeing Illah in the background. She’s always keeping an eye on the chickens. Hope you have a great week Ron.

So cute to see Illah watching over the chicks and chickens. So adorable she is. Like she watches each one individually. 🤣 I love your firewood processing area. So clean and "military" straight lines😉But that's what we expect from you Ron! Nothing wrong with a hydraulic log splitter when you have rounds that big! Are you carrying a side arm daily now too? Lets get you a cowboy holster!! 😁

Yep! Time to get ready for next winter! I plan on starting on firewood after I muck out the barn. I have never noticed you carrying on your videos before. Always good to do, just in case. Have a great day!

Happiness is a full wood shed/pile. I recently watched a video by someone who tested a few pieces of cut and split beech wood for weight over a two year period. The logs were about 8" long and roughly the same thicknesses of yours. They were stored in a dry shed with ventilation on all sides. They were first weighed when freshly cut in May, and by late October they had reached a weight that was not lowered over the two year period. The moisture content was around 10%. In fact, in winter they gained a small amount of weight. Longer logs would require a bit more time, but unlikely the recommended several years. One of the important things about drying them that fast is to cut them to their final length to store, and having a full summer to dry.

I just love your place! You're so productive. We really have to question engineers when they put an oil filter in that position!😂

On that oil change, while draining the pan poke a hole in the top of that filter and it will drain. Hopefully less mess and buy a good filter. WIX I heat my house with wood and go through 10-14 cords a year. Bought a Wolfe ridge 35 ton splitter with log lift. Back saver. I use the small chunks for kindling and have 6 wheeled garbage cans full.

Beings back a lot of memories! Cutting, splitting, and stacking warm ya up, then moving it to the stove warms ya up again, and finally there’s the best warm up while you watch those beautiful flames in your stove!🔥 Fortunately you have enough cut logs to last a long time. Love the way your dog keeps an eye on those turkins.

Ilah (not sure of spelling) is like yeah dad I don’t feel like training right now. I would rather go play with the baby chicks. No bark on the firewood is the way to go. We try to get as much bark of as we can. Have a good week.

Hi Ron. I've been watching your channel for many years now so I knew that you bought a few firearms when you move there but I have never seen you carry one. Are you having some predator problems? Or just a Second Amendment statement of freedom?
