I have added 3 L of Mason Orange Juice which contains no preservatives and is pasteurized. I kept the Orange juice in the fridge at 5 degrees C for two weeks as long as it has not Opened it can last for 6 months on average.
Shaking the juice to provide oxygen is very important as well with other fruit juices like Grape wine which I may eventually try. It prevents Hydrogen sulfide from being produced.
Stressed yeast with little oxygen will produce H2S which you do not want.
450 g of white sugar was added and 4 g of wine yeast was added finally and the specific gravity reading was 1.045 which rounds to 1.05.
If it changes to a different number I will multiply this by 133 to get the Alcohol concentration.
