Hello Sophia ! It's been nearly a week I've been subscribed to your channel and I'm joining everybody saying that you're a big inspiration and a good motivation for me. I'm quite a cleanout/storage/household maniac and I do my best to have a cleaned house but watching your videos has given me more motivation to get rid of junk things (in my dressing, my office drawers...). I don't know you very much but you are an exceptionnal strong-minded woman and I'm impressed by all you've done in your house (painting, building a vanity/barn door...). You may answer that when we want, we can but you are a mother and a wife too and personnally, I'm too busy with my two little sons to do all you do ! So I'm very impressed and I can say you're a model for all of us ! In a video, I heard you speaking french, you don't have a strong american accent (I can understand all you say) and I've understood your mother is from France so I wonder if you are french ? So I've finished my "monologue" hoping it won't bother you reading me ! Good luck for all you will do in your life ! From France, Sophie (my first name too !)

pixiwoofanfromfrance yep, I am French, but naturalized. The boys are unbelievably independent and getting along, so taking care of them is not a huge chore. They pretty much make their own breakfast now, clean after themselves, help with dishes etc. I do wish I had a house that was organized and cleaned at all times so that I could spend more time with them, but unfortunately I am very good at setting things up, keeping it up, not so much.Merci pour le compliment!

Sophia I love your videos! You are so sweet and down to earth. I watched last week when you did your dinning room project and it inspired me to get started on my office! I have been dreading this project because the items were all thrown together during a quick move. Complete CHAOS! I have put this off for sooooo long. The problem I'm finding is, too much stuff!!!! I don't want to get rid of items, yet they have no home. I knew this would happen, it is upsetting and frustrating. It is hard decision time! I love the idea of emptying items from drawers and laying on the top surface, great idea. I guess it is the simple things you offer that I find inspiring and helpful. Thank you for making these videos!!! Kudos! I have been working on my office for a week now, eek! I'm not even close to being finished, but I will not stop until it is what I love! Thanks again Sophia, Hugs

I've been holding on to a small dresser that belonged to my Grandma. It looks like a childs dresser actually but I won't get rid of it because it was hers. I have used it for holding craft supplies before I had my own space and also for linens before I had the linen closet! Your dresser is beautiful and adds warmth to your room. I think we all struggle with the same problems at home. You made me chuckle by saying you keep doing this to yourselves with not putting things away. We do the same thing!

Hi Sophia, On my two antique dressers, I used a couple of plain wax candles and rubbed the wax along all of the rubbing parts of the drawers. I have seen people use white crayons as well. It made it very much easier to open and close the drawers, and it stopped the squeaking and friction noises. My son can open the drawers by himself now, too. Also, I can almost open them one handed now, whereas before, it took effort with both hands to open each side evenly.

Great organization tips on the catchall drawers. Its the 9 volt batteries with the 2 prongs that catches fire. Especially with other material. The fire marshall say here that they should be left in container or put electrical tap on top. But its the 9 volt batteries that catch fire. Love your videos so much.

Thank you for removing that label from the plastic boxes. It really bugs me when they get left on! I think it's an OCD thing.
