Not anymore. It’s has California Historical plates so it can be kept school bus yellow. This bus probably ended school bus service about 15 years ago. A casino in or near Jackson ran this bus last.

tandem rear, eaton 10 speed big cam cummins school bus? Never would have guessed that would ever exist. That bus probably walks all over newer busses in terms of power and probably not far off in efficency.

This bus spent its service in two mountain school districts in the Sierras. It originally came from the factory with a Cummins 290 small cam which was even still powerful than many busses today. At some point late in its service, a big cam was added with a larger fuel pump, fuel rails and injectors.

@@ab6485 very cool and unique. Definitely keep that bus around and in good shape. May not be worth a ton of money in the future but it is a really cool, rare piece of history.
