Most genres or sounds represent the era they were from. Like teddy riley said the Neptune’s were like nothing he’d heard. Just like new jack swing was like nothing anyone else had heard. That sound became mainstream and defined the 2000s. It was everywhere, all the biggest pop stars were using the neptunes sound. But that era is done. Trends change. The Neptune’s sound isnt relevant in today’s music. Now that’s not meant as disrespect at all. In fact Neptune’s are one of my favourite producers of all time. What I mean is that sound defined an era, and that sound belongs to that era. If you try to bring it back, you’re basically just bringing back that era. The Neptune’s are legends, just like teddy Riley and those before him, but we need a new sound now. A new Neptune’s if you will.

8:17 when Pharrell started doing the melody of Big Pimpin, and you eventually see Chad whistling to help beatbox the song...you can't talk Pharrell without Chad. They complete each other so well musically

Pharrell is the the best producer for me, he can make dope hip-hop's and R&B's, and he produces a lot of famous and different artists, like Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Britney, Mariah, Kendrick...and the list goes on This guy has a big vision for music
