My husband was diagnosed with Glioblastoma and I am here rooting you on! Carrie, although every journey is different, I can very much relate to being a caregiver!! Be kind to yourself! Brandon I pray you continue to carry the torch for all of us who have lost a beloved one to this beast, for a VERY LONG TIME to come. Blessings to you and your family!

My prayers for you! My husband passed away October 29, day after he turned 45. We got 1,5 years together since discovery of the tumor. Now it’s just me and our 2 children, with loving support from family and friends. My husbands GBM was very aggressive and immune to every treatment given to us. I pray for many more years to come for you and your family. //Love Sara in Sweden

Hi, been following your story, many thanks. My 65-year old wife has a GBM diagnosed last June. After radiation and chemo she is now on a maintenance chemo- 200mg Temodar 5 nights every 4 weeks, weaning off steroid, new MRI next month. Just curious--are you treatment-free, or still on any anti-cancer treatment? Also any nutritional supplements? Thanks very much for any comment, God bless. --ken

Hi Ken, Your wife's treatment plan is exactly the protocol that I was on. However, I decided to skip the maintenance schedule. The first round of chemo made me sick enough that I didn't want to try it. I have cut sugar almost completely out of my diet, and I have taken some supplements of turmeric and garlic. I also was recently given some frankincense, which I will use through a diffuser. We will keep you and your wife in our prayers.

Hey...I'm glad you're doing well, Brandon. My Dad was diagnosed with GBM in mid October. He finished 3 weeks of radiation and was taking temozolomide. The doctor said the radiation side effects will be with him for two weeks. Is this true? My Dad is a lot older than you and the location of his tumor affects his speech and mobility. It's really hard to figure out..My Dad never had seizures or headaches before he was diagnosed. We thought he was having a stroke due to his slurred speech and numbness in his hand. Any advice on what to do post radiation would be great. Thanks for the videos.

Popeye Yankee Just answering your question coz I know how helpless and how much you want to provide comfort. from a caregivers perspective. Radiation effects last weeks after completion...... symptom management before it gets out of control was and continues to be my motivation. If nausea kicks in...nausea medication as prescribed around the clock, for fatigue, I maintained an environment that promoted rest( if she was not up to socializing, I kept family and visitors at bay... some days they handle 6 hrs of visiting, some days they handle 10 min... if they don’t understand , oh well, ....... for seizures.... I gave seizure medications at the exact same time everyday, if seizures presented different than normal, we sought out help....... I will be praying for you and your family.

The radiation beat me up quite a bit. In addition to the hair loss, I experienced extremely dry skin and appetite aversion. The steroid, dexamethasone, helped, but it caused other issues, specifically Myopathy...

I decided not to continue with the Temozolomide as it made me quite ill and had a drastic impact on my platelet count. I hope that answers your question, and I pray that your dad responds well to treatment!

My Dad was walking great and was even getting up on his own before and during his radiation treatments. That's all changed. He's sleeping a lot more and he can barely walk 10 steps. We now have to wheel him to the chairlift. No problem with his appetite but we're now giving him ensure to give him some extra nutrients. It will be two weeks this Wed since his last treatment and right now its kicking the crap outta of him. Thanks for your input and my prayers go out to you and your loved one.
