Have the hugest respect for this man and the way he dealt with this horrible disease and his prognosis, from the very beginning, until in this stage. So calm & graceful, not at all giving up, but acknowledge what to expect in such a rational but yet humble way. I admire him for it & want to be like that too, what a role model, the little kids will be so proud of him when/if watching this when the time is right for that. He calmly said it could be just four weeks more to live, but he lived for four more month. He fought hard and gracefully.Thank you for sharing your journey, it will help others in similar situations. Rest in peace Brandon🙏🕯️🕊️

Is medical marijuana legal in your state/country? I know a clinical trial by GW Pharma nearly doubled survival when combining cbd/thc/low dose chemo (27%/25% oral spray max 12x daily). I also believe highly in life ever after, but some people only rely on anecdotal evidence but this was a clinical trial run by a billion dollar corporation in the UK on 23 GBM patients. God bless and support you all.

I am so sorry to learn about Brandon's passing. Two wonderful, brave people. GBM is an orphan disease. The money allocated for research for this horrible disease is far less than it is for other, less ultimately fatal. My mother died of GBM at the age of 87 in 1997. It is so disheartening to learn there has been so little progress in treatment and a potential cure in 24 years. Losing my mother hurt but she had a long, full life. Losing a young, vital, man with only half of his life lived hurts even more. Condolences to Carrie and all of your family. Brandon was a true champion.

Brannon Walker So sry for your loss 😢 My 13 year old son was dx with a brain cancer called medulloblastoma. I too was shocked at how little monies go into brain cancer research. Especially for children. During my son's journey early on we met a woman who's husband had the same brain cancer as Brandon. She was a stranger who came into our lives and comforted all my children and me. She was our guardian angel. During his just over 2 years of treatments, surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, I did my best to make public his journey. To make awareness of childhood brain cancer. Sadly during this time I had to go in and out of family court to get my ex to pay child support. If the kids and I weren't going through enough. God did bless my son and he beat the beast and went on to become a nurse himself. I was so grateful that he made it and thanked the Almighty for my son to have made it to the other side. I thought after such pain I, a mother had to bear, life would be smooth sailing. Sadly it wasn't. My youngest son was dx with a deadly heart condition recently. I thought how could this be. Has our family not been through enough. Has my mommy heart not been wrenched enough. His father, my second husband walked out of our lives. He abandoned us, knowing how sick our son is. Just recently our son was hospitalized for a different problem and we still don't know what it is.. This story came up in my videos to watch today. As soon as I read the original title I knew the ending wouldn't be good. But I felt I wanted to watch it and hope a miracle would happen. I was saddened to see Brandon didn't make it. Again so sorry about your loss and anyone else's loss to this beast. My love and prayers to his family and everyone invested in his journey. May he rest in peace. This has inspired me to talk more about my youngest son's health issues to help others perhaps going through something. May the Lord watch over all. ❤

Thanks for the update. Been thinking about how things have been going for you as you were going in for surgery again after your last video. Glioblastoma is a tough one. I have worked in medicine for many years and served as my husband’s first cousin’s healthcare advocate from the time she was diagnosed with GBM. The oncologist told us right from the get go that if they were to place a needle anywhere in her brain to take a biopsy (not just the area where her tumor was), they would find cancer cells. That’s how aggressive it is. She followed standard of care ( radiation & chemo) and started on a clinical trial, but the cancer started to show itself again. Her timeline basically followed your timeline and we were thankful for how well she actually did for as long as she did. She was only in her 40’s. Please, please look into palliative care, as one of your other followers suggested. The most important thing now will be to keep you out of pain and comfortable, so that you can continue to have enjoyable time with your family. Our bodies are so imperfect. So sorry you’ve had to go down this road. Thank you for taking us along with you. Your experience has been and will continue to be helpful to others.

His journey was short, 3 1/2 months after diagnosis he was gone. Following your journey the last two years has been hopeful to me and for others. It sounds like your next treatment will be Avastin. Brandon and Carrie you both are brave and amazing people to have shared your very personal and sad journey with the world. Your Christian faith has been clear from the beginning. You are knowledgeable of scripture and faithful to God and His Word. That person who chose to judge you and your relationship with God is an extremely poor example of a true Christian if I've ever seen one. You both fought so hard, showed great strength over the past few years and devastatingly are now facing the cruel reality of Glioblastoma. For someone to dare to come on here and tell you that you must be losing your battle with cancer because you have not believed that God will heal you is so cruel (and ignorant) that I'm certain that I can't be the only one raging with anger. Good Christian people pass on too, how dare she. I went from crying so hard to reading that comment and I just feel so furious. Of course God can heal but sometimes His will is not what we desire. My mom was a Christian woman and said God will take care of her and in a way (His way) I suppose He did. She, too, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma on April 4, 2019 but she suffered several strokes just prior to her craniotomy and immediately after and she passed on April 13, 2019. She thankfully never knew the "small lesion" on her brain was this evil cancer. I apologize for this lengthy comment. I have been following your journey with admiration and I admit, sorrow. I have been watching daily for this update and it isn't what I hoped to hear but I suppose I expected it. I don't know how or even want to end my comment because it feels too painful and final. It goes without saying that all who love you Brandon and have followed you guys on KZitem pray and ask God to give you more time with your beautiful and loving wife Carrie, and your TEN children! These videos will be so meaningful to those children. May God Bless you both, your children and your families. I am so overwhelmed with sadness right now but I know as you do Brandon that our Savior has prepared a beautiful and peaceful Eternal Home for you. 🙏🏻✝️💛

My mom had glioblastoma and the oncologist thinks the cancer went thru the blood brain barrier in to her spinal fluid. She died before they could do an MRI to confirm. She was losing her ability to walk. It was called leptomeningeal carcinamatosis. They said even if she’d done radiation on the spine it would’ve only bought her a couple of weeks. This is the first time I’ve heard someone else have this. I’m so sorry for your loss.

My brother lost his fight with GBM in October. He was 51. My heart is broken and I will deeply miss him but I know that someday I will be reunited with him in Heaven. That is God’s promise. Not an ending but a beginning into eternal life as the angels welcome him home. Many prayers to you and Carrie. God bless.

I came across your videos when doing research about glioblastoma in July of 2019 after my mother-in-law was diagnosed. She was also treated at Hillman in Shadyside. I teared up watching this video, especially as your child was crying at the end. You are both amazingly strong to even be able to make this video. I've watched them all, don't think I've commented on any but I felt like I had to on this one. My mother-in-law's spread to her cerebellum and was also inoperable. Is Avastin the drug you'll be starting this week? I know that can sometimes reduce tumor size and keep it at bay for awhile. Try to enjoy every minute you can together and with your family. I will be thinking about you both and praying for you and your family.

My husband lasted 15 months. Had I known what was going to happen I would’ve encouraged palliative care and then hospice. No surgery or chemoradiation.

Very sad, good he seems content with it and happy about the life he has lived. But the kid in the end breaks my heart, that he will have to live without a father, I have heard to accept things like that.

Thank you for showing our God strong. Iron sharpens Iron. Surely you walk with God. Although no one knows what God does, we know he will never leave us or forsake us. This life is as a vapor and a light offliction, we will all be home soon and we will have all of eternity thank HIM for all he has done. May the grace and peace of God be with you and your loved ones forever. See you soon. Love, your brother James
