The rootcrop is called Karlang. We use cook it by pealing it, washing it, then boiling it. Mostly it is used in a dish called Sinigang, but can also be paired with boiled vegetable dishes. One Sweet dish it is used is Ginataang Bilo Bilo. You can also bake it like sweet potato and dip in sweet sugar as a desert too, or just plain as a potato subsitiute. Another is frying it like potato chips too. Do warn that it needs to have less sticky sap since it can be itchy due to oxalates. Trick is to let it dry out or boil it at least 20 mins and throw the water out.

Enjoy life Valentina, just make sure you are always in control and to be generous with what you give but moderate with what you take. People on cloud 9 sometimes forget the needs of their primary partners and children but I'm sure you are wise enough to avoid that mistake. It's a delicate balancing act but it can be done. A Monitor Lizard seen at 9:03. It's fortunate that you let it go back into its natural habitat, as Monitor Lizards have a tendency to hunt and feed on chickens. By 11:03, the topic shifted to Cacao (pronounced as Kakao in Filipino), which is actually pronounced as kuh-key-oh or Kakeyoh in English. Despite this, many continue to pronounce it the way it is spelled. At 16:49, another widely known root crop in the Philippines was discussed, known as Taro in English or Gabi in Cebuano.

Also taro leaves is the main ingredient in coconut milk based "laing" also very yummy. Hope you can try them.
