I love the low smoke flavor Fogo Charcoal has that allows me to add the smoke flavor if I want more smoke. I learning that a little smoke goes a long way and it is too easy to get too much smoke. Thanks for showing us the hand process and how the wood is grown. How long does it take a tree to grow before it is cut down? Here in the dry southwest it takes 30 years for a tree to grow.

Great stuff Keith. I am honestly not sure of how fast they grow but it is fast. We sometimes have a hard time keeping up with the supply

Hey @Keith80027! Inga trees, commonly known as the ice cream bean tree, are known for their rapid growth. Under ideal conditions, they can grow quite fast, sometimes reaching 2 to 3 meters (about 6.5 to 10 feet) in height per year.

Nice informative vid! I used Fogo premium exclusively in the US for my Kamado Joe, moved to Mexico and can’t find good lump so far. Any way to get that down here near Guadalajara?

I'm cooking a pork butt right now and using your charcoal for the first time in my Yoder. I'm only a couple of hours in and I absolutely love your charcoal. It burns clean and hot. I'm reloading every so often over the course of the cook, really consistent heat. Lasts a good while, like a proper lump charcoal should. Looking forward to grilling on the Weber with this.
