Hey Jerry, Two things; One App I used extensively when I rode Harley's cross-country was the MyRadar NOAA Weather app. It's a freebie and had spot-on storm tracking. Really gave me the heads up on when to get the rain gear on. Second thing, you and Joan hit AZ in October and we'd love to meet up. I'm in Phoenix, but getting up to the Canyon is no biggie for us. Let us know. Thanks for the tips and Safe Travels!!

Thank you Jerry for the great description of these websites and apps. You are so right about keeping a "hard copy" of your planned route. In my limited experience I have already had things fail on me a few times and I don't have that co-pilot to search for the information. I do like your idea to write it in Sharpie and maybe I need to get some kind of clip to hang it on my dash.

Glad to help. I’ve had to many instances where the GPS or Google maps froze or tried to route me in some weird direction. Glad I had that paper direction as a back up. Maybe a Command Hook on the dash and a binder clip would work to hold the directions.

Thanks for sharing. Great tools. I will add though, I used google maps last weekend to get an alternate route home from lake George NY and I encountered a low bridge 12 ‘11”. I’m 12’8” if you believe the pamphlet! I’m comfortable with 13’5”. So a long back up down a windy road until I could turn around -was not fun. So for me, I’m off google maps for my GPS now. I’ll stick with the interstates instead of trying to save time on shortcuts!!!! We use and post on trip adviser all the time. We think it’s a great tool. 👍 We jad passport America a couple of years ago, and never got to use the discount once. We stayed at many PA parks, but non honoured the discount when we were travelling - right now we 3 season campers and still couldn’t get a campground to honour it.

As always, GREAT information Jerry. Along with Google maps, I do use a Garmin 770 for RVs which includes your measurements, which height is, as you are well aware, vitally important when traveling on roads other than the Interstate. It appears that Garmin has upgraded that to the 780 which also includes RV parks. Ummmmm.....is Garmin maybe trying to take all your apps an combine then in one location??!! I think I'll stick with your ideas. Be safe, have fun, and happy camping. v/r, TS PS - I've been using Weather Bug for about 3 years now...the only issue I've discovered with it is the radar images seem to be about 15 - 30 minutes behind.

Hi Tyrel and thanks. Would be great to have one device for everything. Planning campgrounds maybe a bit of a challenge, but good if you’re heading down the road. Hi Thomas. Thanks. It’s a windshield tablet mount. Not much to it. It has a suction cup for the window and the front is spring loaded for up to an 8” tablet turned sideways. Here’s a link amzn.to/2PSuR0F. One thing that is key is to use a tablet that has a GPS chip. That way, if you loose Internet, the tablet will still function using Maps. Jerry, Great video. As I'm a solo RVer and don't have a sidekick as a navigator I'm in search of a great RV Trip planner. I was watching your past videos and saw that you were using RV Trip Planner. Would you share some thoughts on Allstays, Google Maps and RV Trip Planner. It seems the RVTP might do the job of Allstays and Google maps... but I'm not experienced enough to know. A good use for Google maps - when you hear about a great campsite, restaurant or attraction, go to Maps, search for it, click on the description then save it as "want to go". Google will place a mark and when you are passing through or planning routes, you will have a reminder. I regularly stop at great places others drive past.
