Here's a few more content creating friends of VCFMW, @Mac84, @8_Bit, @BenHeckHacks, @RonsCompVids, @RetroTechChris, and of course there's many more. Thanks for checking out the show, and thanks for promoting the importance of computer history.

Saw that sgi octane2 and went "c'mon! I was working in one of those a couple years ago and... Oh wait! It was more like 20-something years ago!" 😅

ARCNET! Speaking my language there. I actually found a few ARCNET cards out in the parking lot for sale. Great recap. VCFMW is a blast!

Libraries are one of the biggest reasons for the growing size of software. Who was the guy who had the Famicom system with Family BASIC? The only person I've seen demonstrate such a system (because he speaks Japanese) is Dave Lovett who runs the Usagi Electric channel.

When I went to primary school, I had ‘a history teacher’. Soon there will be computer history teachers, mark my words… Must have been fun. Oh and I did send a fax just 10 years ago, here in the UK. It was for legal reasons (confirmed receipt etc), but it still worked.

That's really cool that you're into vintage computing. I'm really big into Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) and I know that was on display at VCFM this year. If you ever do a video on BBSes, feel free to reach out and I'd be glad to help.

I'm envious of your trip to this con. My first computer was a CoCo-2 which I still have. You're right about the lack of constraints these days although security was never a concern on the apple II. I do love working with edge devices and designing microcontroller devices for the same puzzle working that their restraints require.

It’s all binary, just build on top off. Yes, AI will never rule, that is all they see and do. We are the ultimate computer. Chicano Mexicano Beverly Hills Downey California.
