Those Salomans make me glad I've never bought the brand before. I've never seen any shoe fall apart to that extent before. I have Obōz lowcut Bdry shoes ( Bridger but earlier model maybe)and after they aren't comfy at first. I have had mine for awhile and haven't worn them much for that reason. Quality is really high tho. Seams etc...Needed goretex equivalent shoes for rainy Vancouver BC and have worn Asics goretex runners more instead due to comfort.

Any update on the oboz?

Not really, I have switch to another set of shoes, timberland hiking boots which are lighter and more comfortable for me....but in heavy snow and rain the oboz are ok (5 out of 10) and warm, but I don't really wear them anymore because I needed something lighter and more comfortable

How has this pair treated you? I’m thinking of buying them? Are they truly waterproof? Are they warm and dry in deep snow?

They are waterproof but I wouldn't go walking through a stream or deep water... once water get above the top, you've got yourself wet socks... anything pass a foot of snow... these boots aren't good for.... they are harsh to break in and uncomfortable on gravel, hard compact dirt, pavement and cement....I don't think they do enough for the price, hopefully if you get them try to find them for under $200 or it isn't worth it.

@@phoenixsx1 how long did it take to break them in?
@phoenixsx1

@@MrGwizyadig it depends on how much walking you do in them... anywhere from 2 to 6 months and they are not really multipurpose...I can't justify the price for these hiking boots , only buy if you can get them on sale or below $200... wish I could return them and get something else

@@phoenixsx1 The size of your boots is clearly wrong !! You should have bought one size up at least. That's why they feel so uncomfortable and hard.

@@hellboy7424 nope, the fit perfectly fine matter of fact, they are half inch larger than i normally get due to me wanting to wear heavier or multiply socks....but thanks for the comment
