Piers Morgan is 100% correct on this matter. It is not OK to stop the Tennessee proceedings for similar reasons to why it is not OK to stop the Federal proceedings on January 6th. That is, government is how we avoid physical force, so interrupting governmental proceedings cannot be tolerated since it tends to erode the norms that are keeping peace in society. The principle should be easily acknowledged in both instances. Now, the reasons behind the Tennessee protest are clearly more defensible than the wholly indefensible January 6, but neither justifies stopping a session of government.

Piers Morgan will be forever known for sucking, not kissing, Trump’s butt. Jan 6, 2021 was an insurrection and comparable to nothing else in this country. The Justin’s were black men who need to be put in their place by overseers. Gloria Johnson was just lucky enough that they couldn’t do the same to her, because these white men in the Tennessee legislature are traveling on the road to Fascism.

I think his analogy was good. The point of an analogy isn't to say the two things are the same, it's the underlying connection between the two. And analogies are most effective when you use an extreme more clear cut example to point out the connection to the original that isn't clear cut. I think it's disingenuous to say, are you saying it's the same as January 6th, because you are accusing him of not even making an analogy, that's just a straight comparison if he's saying it's exactly like January 6th in scale and damage. Comparing a coup in another country to January 6th, isn't an analogy. I would like to see actual gun reform and I think the punishment was extreme to kick out elected officials, but I agree with Pierce Morgan.

Did they just choose to ignore that there were THREE people that disrupted the TN legislature? And that the legislature by vote removed only the two black members and not the white member being disruptive? Something other than a problem with being unruly was being shown there.
@deborahfreedman333
Жыл бұрын
The white woman was one vote away from being removed, as well. And the only person who voted to remove the two young men, but not her, said it was because she didn't use a megaphone. Maybe it was racism, or maybe it was the megaphone. Either way, she only remained because of a single vote.
@SerDunk
Жыл бұрын
The white member threw them under the bus explaining that she was not disruptive and didn't use the bull horn so they didnt remove her. Then she went on CNN and claimed it was racism... Which imo obviously wasnt racism. Her defense was factual. She was in fact less disruptive. But her reasoning for why it happened (racism) is, if anything subjective. Its her personal opinion and view. The reality and facts day otherwise. In fact wasnt one of the 2 reinstated? So how could a systematic TN racist legislature do that? They woulda been like &Stay Out!" 😅 Playing the race card is ridiculous. If Republican senators enter the senate chamber with bullhorns and get removed and expelled, on FoxNews theyd be saying oh its "BECAUSE were republican" so you & that lady basically doing same thing. Using your personal identity (whether political or gender or racial) as a scapegoat after you clearly were disruptive is irresponsible & immature.

This was a great show. Im not typically a Piers fan, but on this topic, the topic of trans-athletes, hes bang on the money, as is Bill, who I love. Now politically, rep. Porter plays for my team, shes a lefty, and Im sure I would agree with her on most things, but shes dead wrong, and you can see the logic blocking going on so subtlety behind her eyes and her shoulders.
