Just gut done talking to a Holley rep and come to find out they have no clue about their own product. I have an original Vacuum Diaphragm 135-2 that is 1.865" from base to eye plate for my 8007 390cfm carb, it has been on the car from they day it was pulled out of the box in 1997. Ordered a new 135-2 and the part is 2.045" from base to center eye. I can physically see that the parts are not the same. This longer rod on the new part hits the cap of the vacuum housing and will not let the secondary open more than 1/3. He is trying to tell me something is wrong with the carb that has not changed and the original part vs the new part. He tells me to measure it from plate to end of rod and this gives me 2.281". either way it is too long and when was the last time you did not run from center eye to center eye.

Ok now this is fkn confusing everyone is saying conect distributor vacum to manifold vacum where there is vacum at idle and here they say nonconect to port side where there isnt vacum at idle

That's a whole can of worms, feel free to try it both ways.

What they are saying is correct, no advance at idle is right. Why would you need full advance at idle, doesn't make sense.

@@glenncook9063 depends on the distributor used. My HEI requires vacuum at idle because the vacuum canister retards the timing rather than advancing it. Hooking it to Ported vacuum makes it miss and stumble at WOT.
