Our today's reportage from the Lokotech plant, which is engaged in the design, production, repair, painting and maintenance of locomotives. The production base is represented by 9 locomotive repair plants and 90 service depots throughout Russia.
This video is about painting locomotives.
Locomotives are painted not only for aesthetics, protection against corrosion and atmospheric precipitation, but also for safety.
The cost of painting locomotives can range from 270 to 340 thousand rubles, it depends on the complexity and type of equipment. And it can take up to 11 days.
Locomotive painting begins with surface preparation. This complex process begins by removing a layer of old paint and rust from the surface of the hull. This is followed by chemical treatment and priming.
Now all preliminary work, painting and drying are carried out in the workshop, which causes a lot of inconvenience: dust settles on the painted surface, the paint flies in all directions, the drying process takes longer.
Locomotive painting will soon take place with this new spray booth from SPK GROUP.
The chamber is equipped with special lighting, a mobile hood, 4 ventilation units with a capacity of 35,000 m3 / h. All equipment is designed in explosion protection.
Собрана окрасочно-сушильная камера SPK была всего за 1,5 месяца!
