Using my fingers for a caulk seam is very satisfying. The clean white looks nice!

Thank you! Try the soapy water too - it was a game changer! Keeps it from sticking.

Im going to paint my trailer but white is not my color choice. Im thinking grey light and dark with some teal accents . Now if I could decide how to get to it.

So nice and well done. I redid my caulk. It's hard to keep clean.

It does help, but be careful because big drips can soak through!

Looks nice. I'm starting to paint my RV. How is that paint holding up? Thanks for the video.

It held up great as long as I owned the camper! Lasted through a year of heavy use, then I sold the camper.

What paint did you use to paint the door yellow?

AArrrf. Plastic or acrylic scrapers only on metal! Use Windex cleaner as a lubricant for reinstalling window seals. Now you are a pro, so the next one will take half the time.

I definitely tried acrylic scrapers first but they were no match for this type of caulk! Now that it's painted I won't be able to use metal anymore without scratching the paint but it worked well before painting when it was okay to scratch it. We'll see how this holds up - if I get leaks I'll take out the windows and reinstall the window seals.

@@shellyfixesupacamper5399 So the wrong type of sealant was installed before you acquired the trailer. I tend to reapply acrylic sealant, sometimes called caulking, every 4 years; especially at the tops and sides of the windows. In the heavy jet airplane world, the planes get resealed about every 7-years.

@@joemcdonough2765 Yes exactly. If this holds up for 4 years I'll be pretty happy! Definitely planning to check the whole thing over every year, at least.

How did you get the Tahoe decal off? Did you sand it off by hand? I need to do it to my camper but I have two huge decals to do 😩
@shellyfixesupacamper5399

Yep I just used sandpaper, by hand. I didn't sand off the stickers, just softened the edges so they would be hard to see once painted over. You can still see some slight ridges if you stand very close to it, but only if you look at it really closely!

Please don't do what she did. That is a sloppy job. You never leave decals or any raised edges under a paint job - it is unprofessional. Get a $22 Wagner Heat Gun from Home Depot and a flat razor knife from the carpet install aisle. Razor blade has to be flat not at an angle. Heat up decal and scrape off with flat blade. Plastic blades don't work. Your paint will be scratched but no matter. Removing the glue residue below is much harder than the decal. If very old, it can be sanded off. If still gummy, you can try the following removers - Acetone, Xylene, Motsenbocker's Lift Off - all from Home Depot. This is the hard part! Sand down, wipe down with alcohol or Acetone, and start painting. Prep work is double the time of paint work.
