That's the first time I've seen a panther have both tracks move in opposite directions even if it was a very short time she's very well looked after and very nice well done to her owners

the tigers where able to reverse the track when turning but the crews where told not to because of the sheer weight and would cause it to break drivetrain parts

ToonandBBfan As was 17-pdr gun from the Sherman Firefly or the 85 mm from the T-34-85. The ability to "kill" a tank is nothing special. Ah, I hear you say, that it was so precise and was able to hit and penetrate a tank at a great distance. But does it really matter when you are not able to bring this gun to bear in great number? Does it really matter when usually in reality hills, trees, building, etc. do not allow you to spot and shoot tanks at such a range?A real battlefield is nothing like a shooting range.

Escylon True with is why as the war went on, the allies choose to use aircraft to attack German tanks. A Tank cant do much against air attack

+Escylon I think you'll find that the Panther and the Tiger were initially designed for the wide open spaces that is Russia.

Die haben die Farbe beim neu Anstreichen einfach über alles drüber gesprüht. Wenigestens die Ersatzkettenglieder hätten die mal abnehmen können.
Suffering from a rather weak final drive it did have somewhat effective armor. Very punchy cannon. That Maybach has a backfire, don’t know if they all did. This one has a more rare waffle type Zimmer coat anti magnetic mine treatment.

the problem for the Germans and good luck for the Allies was that the Panthers were not there to greet them in Normandy.... D-Day could have been different if they had been...
@Dedfaction

+Larry Rantz Yes. It would have taken the allies slightly (and I do mean slgihtly as in veeeerrryyy slightly) more time to win. Days or a week, maybe two. Probably not though.

Brian Oddly enoug, very few tanks were destroyed by aircraft in France, they tended to vastly overestimate the effectiveness of airpower vs tanks at the time. But yes, the war was definitely over by then, it was decided before then really.
