I got my hubby a hot logic one for work. He loved it. He would plug it into his giant toolbox so he wouldn't have to climb the steps to go to the breakroom upstairs and wait in line to use a microwave!

You are so kind sweet friend. I'm working with a new software program that I'm not familiar with so it's going to take a bit longer for me to edit. Blessings my sweet friend.🙏

I have a spiral notebook where I jot down recipes. I also have tons wrote on post-it notes that are in a clip magnet on the fridge lol. I think my recipe books are still packed but right now I don't have any room to put them if I unpack them lol

I have been doing the same. Decluttering & down sizing. Its amazing to see what $2 hooks can do to my shed when I start hanging things & getting them off the floor. I had left over bricks & decided to make brick stand planters, the cool part is im able to put my 30 lb propane tanks inside the planters to hide them from view.

That is an awesome idea with bricks. Hooks are my best friend. It's a good feeling to get organized. I feel less overwhelmed and more in control. 🥰

Hi! New sub from Idaho! Just found your channel. One cookbook you might keep an eye out for is “More with Less cookbook” . It’s a great one for basics. I am also purging, and learning to let go. It’s a process! Enjoying your channel!

Hello and thank you for subbing. It's definitely a hot mess channel. I will look for that cookbook. Heck I may have it. I'm still going through them all. It is on my bucket list to visit Idaho one day. It looks beautiful. Blessings and welcome!🥰

I wondered what happened last night. lol Great "free" cookbook haul. I agree it's better to have hard copies of good old recipes. It's so nice to have a free stuff FB website. I also would need to have intervention so I wouldn't collect too much. Or at least my husband would say that I would need it. lol Your chili looked amazing! My husband just bought burnt ends on Friday and when he saw your recipe he wants to make your chili. Thanks for sharing Lynn's YT Channel, I will definitely check it out. I love watching your video's, you are so down to earth, caring and just keeping it real!! I appreciate all the great tips/tricks in downsizing and just in everyday life as we know it. Thanks for being a great long-distance YT friend!

You are so kind and you made my day. That chili was so good. I can't believe I craved chili with as hot as the temperature is here in Texas but my husband and I scarfed it down. Please let me know how your chili turns out.🥰

@@kellispreppingkitchen I could have used a site like that when we first moved in to our home. There was so much stuff in this house and kind of still is lol. A lot of things we just threw away because there wasn't even a place to donate too. A stainless steel fridge microwave dishes and pots and pans clothes you name it lol

So I just got a chance to finish watching this video and I really enjoyed it. I would love to know where you got your general store curtain. I just noticed that and it’s adorable. Also, I loved your tips on decluttering thought they were very plain practical, and something that anyone could apply.😀

Thank you so much Lynn. That curtain came from etsy. My family kept calling the pantry a grocery store so I thought a general store sign would be fun.🥰

Love the idea of a Facebook food trading group. You are always up to something interesting. I've never seen a personal portable oven before, I wonder if a solar charger could run one of those long enough to cook raw meat?

I know portable chargers are my hubby's field of expertise. He knows so much more about solar panels, generators, chargers etc. I would imagine that little oven doesn't use much energy.🥰

I have a few declutter games... set a timer for 15 min, grab a box and go around your home and gather 25 items and take to charity same day. I have emptied out entire bedroom except a bed, night stand, clock, lamp and started setting up like your in a hotel having just what you need. Then i only put back in my closet my laundry, obviously I where those items then as I need something U packed in a bin I will gather it and add back to wardrobe as the months go by I see the items remaining are not of any use and donate Bathroom is done the same way... empty it all out in a laundry basket and clean your space and pretend your going on a trip and what would you need to take for 2-3 weeks.. the rest will likely sit there so donate it Or set a goal to toss 100 items in one month. The average home has 25,000 items😳 or aim one item a day for one year is 365 so you can see it will take time... one item in and two items out Pick and item like shoes.... grab every shoe in the house and see the shear amount... pick your top ten favourites... the rest will likely never get used Once I gathered every empty box and counted twenty five!!! Why was I keeping them idk?? Pillows I gathered every pillow in the house and got 23 and there’s just us two!! So make a list of items Gather all the pens and pencils, keep top 2-6 favourites and do the same with any item.... Clocks or movies or like your cookbooks, you may only have one recipe per book so take a pic, print out pic and keep in a binder. I did one a day for two years and ended up with an entire room of boxes to have a garage sale a free the sale I let the rest go free Hope this helps and please sing 😜please release me let me go as you declutter😂

LOL I got a bunch of the seaweed a year or two ago from a food pantry. I tried it and it wasn't for me. I didn't want to waste it and no one else wanted it so I decided to see if our cats would eat it. He loved it and they dog saw him eating it so the dog also ate it lol!

Yes it's definitely an acquired taste. Very fishy. Lots of iodine though. My older daughter has hypothyroidism and is a vegetarian so she is low on iodine but she loves these.🥰

@@kellispreppingkitchen That explains why the cat loves them. As for the dog liking them I think it was only because the cat was eating it. if he wont eat something all I have to do is call for the kitty and he will gobble it up before the cat gets there lol!

I agree. I'm trying to keep a manageable pantry. I do need to downsize and restructure though. Taste buds have changed. Diets have changed. I much rather pass a long what we aren't going to use than hang onto it. I really want to eliminate a lot of the processed stuff (chips, crackers, cookies etc) and replace with more canned vegetables and meat. We do have about a years worth of freeze dried meals in some storage bins. I would like to focus on more from scratch, single ingredient foods but that may be wishful thinking. I do agree, prices are scary high now.
