Good recipe. The timing for whipping I have seen elsewhere is 20 minutes on low speed followed by 10 on high, though. You should check European Portuguese websites for the correct pronunciation of the name of the cake.

I love this recipe. I already ordered my pan. That is the only pan that I never purchased, but it'll be here soon! Sponge cakes have always been one of favorites. I also love angel food cake, so now I can make one of those as well. Thank you for this great recipe.

It sounds great to me that you don't have to separate the 9 nine eggs. Will definitely have to try this recipe. It definitely has the consistency to Angel Food cake without have to separate the eggs. Appreciate how encouraging you are of your listening audience.

Whats also great is not cooking it all the way through, it gives you a sort of custardy texture like a lava cake!

Hi, What brand and model oven do you have ? I ask bc my baked goods ( cinnamon rolls ) don't get brown on top in 22 mins like yours do.

I'd use it for trifle, a strawberries and cream layer cake, jam and cream layer cake, or tiramisu. Or more realistically, just dunk a slice in tea and call it a day 🤣
