I've been doing a lot of research online regarding use of DE shavers and just shaving techniques in general. After watching several of your videos, I'm definitely going to switch over to a DE blade. Terrific instructional video. I use a beautiful 1962 Gillette Super Speed. I was born that year, so I though it would be nice to replace my first shaver with a vintage Gillette. I've never needed to shave as close as you do and a second pass is as far as I go. Sometimes just one pass. Anyone could learn to shave properly using only this video.

i had the same problem. i saw on my skin how the blades were going. now use DE and i have no problems. i still cut myself but its not that bad as with multiblades razor. i have sensitive skin. because of this i shave before shower not after. after shower my skin becomes too sensitive. so when i'm done shaving i go take a shower and water closes nicks and cuts so it looks like you never cut :)

I shave my head with a safety razor. I used the 99R it's cool but I wouldn't recommend it for the head shave because it's too heavy, after a while you'll feel that you are in the gym working your shoulders. I really enjoy watching your videos, I've been learning alot and I find them very helpful. I won't ask what safety razor blades I should purchase as I know those are personal preference, but I was wondering what safety razor would you recommend? Whether i'ts Cut throats or DE's, you've always got em covered and right on the spot. It'll be hilarious if Sir David Attenborough voiced the commentary and treated it like a wildlife episode. You have to try a bunch of different razors with different types of blades. With experience, you will learn what combinations work best for you. Personally for me, the Merkur Futur with a Feather blade works best because I can adjust it according to how many days of growth I have. I found that this particular combination will give me a smooth and close shave 100% of the time. Cheers
