Joan de Havilland was downright smart, hardworking and beautiful. Seeing her here, largely retired, undertaking projects of her choosing, is refreshing and inspiring.

@BLTKellys Well, wasn't it still as a private citizen, DeHavilland? In Joan's book, didn't she mention that she still signed legal papers Joan de Beauvoir de Havilland?

Yes, her full legal name was Joan De Beauvoir DeHavilland. She took her stepfather's name, Fontaine, as her stage name.
