Hi Thanks for the kind words ...just googled it and found 2 youtube vids showing the differences...seems quite a few upgrades inc a 5 year instead of 3 year warranty...i found a review with no commentary just music and one in non English but dint keep looking for an english one...like i say though the B2 looks even better.

Thanks, that has given me a clue as to why mine does not work with the wheels on.

Hi transient...not sure what you mean... what wheels?

@@TomsManShed I was talking about the guide wheels that caused you the flames at 33 minutes in. Mine won't strike unless it's touching, and with the wheels on it doesn't touch. I think I had mine in the same groove as you described yours were (I think where they were when they arrived ?). Anyway I have something new to check now. I also gather from you getting no arc at all when the "ground" was not connected that there is not supposed to be a pilot arc, which explains why no pilot arc is happening on mine. Cheers.

arrr I see now yes it doesn't have a pilot arc ...yes dont think the wheels are a great idea.

Yep I know what you mean hence me mentioning not having space for a separate compressor Even so though with each new tool it gets harder to find space for it :)

Funny you mention Philippa Forrester as she now has a EV channel driving a ZS EV.

HI James ...that's a good price ....Only used it 3 or 4 times but so far it's great, In Germany evidently there is an upgrade to it with a different torch/leads that give the facility of a pilot arc so you can start the arc going just by pulling the trigger even in mid air without having to touch the metal to start the arc....it can be retro fitted to this There is a vid on KZitem somewhere of it....I e-mailed Lidl and they said it wasn't available in this country though :(

Good video man!, I'd rather hear from some old bloke in his shed then these dumb young and full of C youtubers pretending to know what they talk about. I want one and dont even know why I want one, just the thought of cutting metal in seconds is very very cool. I wouldnt use the wheels though, its like stabilises on a bike, it just screams "I am a beginner".

Hi Cornelius..;..Thanks for that ..nice to know someone appreciates "old blokes" :) I was the same ...never really needed one but always fancied one...it was great fun using it ...haven't had anything I've needed it for since this test so it's just been in the garage...pity as there is a knack to using them and practice would help results.

@@TomsManShed Well, I have to get the hang of welding first, been trying unsuccessfully to weld

Thanks Tom. I wondered about one of these, so it is interesting to see it. What sort of eye protection do you need? Is it just to protect from sparks or is there a UV/arc brightness danger like welding? It is also interesting that your videos run through without adverts, unlike almost every other KZitemr now.

Hi Horus.....I mention eye protection at 38 mins 50 secs ish....it's shown in the timeline .. I suppose it's still good to have some UV protection it certainly isn't as bright as when welding......the bright plasma "flame" is buried within the material being cut so not much is visible for most of the time.....I found it more comfortable wearing two pairs of sunglasses....one was UV protected....than the welding helmet Re the ads....not sure why you are not seeing any as I have ticked all the monetisation boxes for adverts as I always do.......I am seeing 2 skippable ads per vid ..I think it up to the advertisers which vids they will advertise the most in ... obviously mine are not popular enough :)

I think the sunglasses are a very bad advice. There is definitely alot uv-light coming your way (maybe less than welding) especially if you need to do it longer periods. Seeing that skincancer is the most common cancer i would advice anyone to wear a full mask. Also do this with very good ventilation/sucktion or outside because the fumes are very toxic

Buying items from Lidl that I want but might never use. Ha ha ha. Tell me about it Tom. I have more stock than Lidl. I'm drawing the line at a plasma cutter though. If I need to chop some pig iron I'm giving you a call.

Tom we're all waiting for the main event: what's the latest on your MG ZS EV order ? Good luck Brian
@TomsManShed

Hi Brian...yes waiting is the word :( I have been told delivery now likely mid to late August!....as well as the global shortage of "chips" there is the Chinese Covid lock down PLUS it was stated in the latest MG Vlog by Miles Roberts (the dealer where I am getting mine at Chorley) that a large percentage of the wiring harnesses for Europe's cars are made in Ukraine. I am going to post a 5 minute vid next week explaining the delay getting the car and lack of vids recently etc ...I fimed loads of stuff re comparing the MK1 lights with the Mk2 etc before I sold the Mk1 Not been many gizmos I have fancied buying or needed in Lidl recently either plus funds are low etc. All will be explained in next upload...but I aint going away or stopping :)

How thick of metal you can cut with 220 volted plasma cutter ?? please.
@TomsManShed

Hi Mohammed...I show it in the video on the box and have also put it on screen at 01:22 ...these are absolute maximums though and I would tend to use it just for thinner stuff if using the built in compressor as its not as strong as a proper external compressor.
