Sophomore in high school when this was out. I’m Black and I don’t care if people think I’m a nerd. I went to a predominantly White high school. Come to think of it, all my schools were predominantly White. I digress. Loved this song. Still do. The music, the lyrics, his timing. You can tell there were some strong, deep feelings that came from a place of pain.😢❤ Listening to this song as an adult is much more meaningful now. I’v been through some stuff and experiences that really make this song come alive. My favorite words are “That old feeling inside. Way deep down inside. I go crazy.” Can I get an amen?😊

I lost my love over 30 years ago. I would ask people about her, but it was like she just dropped off the face of the earth. This song always made me think of her, but here I am 68 and she is 70 and she just got in touch with me last night. I am happy just to hear from her and to know she is thinking about me. Try to imagine it: You're alone, driving your car. This song comes on the radio---it's just you, the wonderful intimacy of the vocals, the deeply poignant message, the lovely melancholy of the music. And if it should happen to be raining? You find yourself transported to one of those special places deep in the heart that only the greatest love songs ever take you to. Few songs are capable of that. This is one of them.

I've never been understood musically.. artistically..etc. I like what I feel through this one and it hit hard when I was a child hearing it then on the car radio..before stereo. Some memories stayed with me as if from later in my life. Puzzling me still today. Visions of a love I never knew and that destroyed them from the start, yet I see now how those visions became to be. Only pieces here and there throughout years. Recent events have almost put them all together within the tragedy of loss and painted skies of grey over deepest oceans blue eyes taken away by a darkness in the light. Ima dork.

He was 37 and she was 35 years old. My Buddy had a love relationship you'd never seen before. Such love between the two, beyond belief. Just over a year after the beginning of their relationship she developed terminal cancer and was given less than a year to live. What devastation! That being said, their love grew even stronger. On the night she passed away she was in his arms and the background music was playing. As she spoke her last words, "I'll always love you," this song (I Go Crazy) started playing. And tears just flowed down our eyes. We have never forgotten this song, which of course reminds of her passing. Paul Davis...such good music!
