It's interesting how reluctant Paul was regarding writing an autobiography. A few years later he'd released a few of them and they really are a cracking read. They take you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. He certainly lived a full life.

I absolutely loved Paul and was devastated when I heard of his death💔 He was such a special man. His love and respect for all animals made him a shining star in my eyes. A uniquely wonderful person who will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace darling.♥

I get quite attached to a lot of famous people and more so when you hear there stories. A lot of the passings affected me but Paul, the effects of him were something else. I thought we'd always have Paul. May he RIEP. XX

I left UK in 1989 for Australia I cannot believe he did so much more after i left and it breaks my heart he has gone he did so much for everyone and animals . I remember the early days of him xxx

I loved Paul O'Grady. He was a lovely human being. So real and down to Earth, and caring and compassionate. My Mum was from Blackpool and I've got long lost Cousins from Liverpool. I met them once and they were a lot like Paul xx

This was just when Paul started his 5pm chat show on ITV1. It became an instant hit. People really loved to have Paul on the telly at 5pm when they came home from work or school. In January 2006 he left ITV as they took him for granted and thought he would renew instantly, that was never the case, Paul wanted to control his show, ITV didn't want that, Channel 4 allowed it, so he moved. Best decision he made. RIP Paul.
