I knew the Stefanos that owned the truck stop for quite a while. They lived near my parents.

There’s an old mom and pop truck stop in northern NY/Canada line that was famous back in the day , I had the chance to visit, but I cannot remember its name.

No truck stops here but we had two pub/restaurants both old school. They sat abandoned for years lots of memories, always busy, good food. Both are gone, demoed, I can still hear the noise in my head from the atmosphere.

That was pretty cool you stopped at Louise. I would always stop there. Too bad it's closed.

Wow, that’s an old memory. Shame it’s gone. If you want some good pizza while in Macungie, stop at Sal’s in town. Mad Dogs has some great weenies! Enjoy

Good morning Mike. The experience we had trucking in the 70s 80s & 90s in my opinion were some of the best trucking times . The old mom & pop truck stops were one of them . Before cell phones a lot of them had CB base stations and I remember ones I would stop at alot would take your order over the CB and have it on the counter when you walked in. I still love trucking but things definitely have changed. Some good , some not so good . Have a great weekend.

We used to stop and jabberjaw at all those little Mom and Pops.....seems we worked and drove our tails off 7 days a week, yet- the atmospere was different. We always "got there", but enjoyed ourselves along the way. I blame high stress high speed jobs. And technology. And a different breed of drivers. Oh, did I mention technology??!! Nice short little video glimpse into your past Mike!
