Being at MSG as an 11 year old kid/wrestling fan, and experiencing the intensity of this crowd , made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Morales,Muraco, Backlund, Graham, Hansen,Bruno, Valentine, Andre, Dusty, and many more were my absolute favorites from this era. My favorite era. Back when it seemed so real. Lol. Used to love the Garden shows.

There was nothing like going to a wrestling match at MSG in the late 70s/80s. The crowd was always electric. Good times.

Pedro Morales was the WWWF equivalent of Carlos Colon. Larger than life and more popular than pro-wrestling itself.

Nice to see that Edxpress still remains from when I first got on KZitem. Keep it up buddy! By the way, the ref in this match is Billy Caputo, who just passed away earlier this year.

Look at that crowd lose their 💩 over a punch to the head finish! Nowadays the crowd requires a "triple-Lindie" from a top a 20 foot cage to get any type of reaction.

Troy Elich | Muraco left the WWE not long after this title loss. He spent most of 1982 wrestling in NWA's Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic before returning to regain the I-C title.
