I only hate on it because it's been proven to be one of the worst workouts for your actual body in the long term. It's one of those short-term trendy workouts for people that care more about how they look than their actual health.

@@memefortime Not false. There are mounds and mounds of evidence that not only is CrossFit the least effective way to gain muscle mass and core strength, it has the highest likelihood of accident because bad form is built into half the exercises.

@davidh3332 you’re making this up. The actual research shows otherwise. And the loads of people doing CrossFit a decade later would prove your other point false.

@@memefortime Critical reviews and meta-analysis shows that when all the evidence is examined, only a handful of studies show a high-level of evidence and low bias. Studies in support of CrossFit largely fall under the low evidence, high bias territory. Two of the best done by the Consortium for Health and Military Performance and the American College of Sports Medicine found CrossFit resulted in a considerably higher average injury rate. And the science of just muscle growth says that most of the practices of CrossFit, even when done well, are the least optimal way of developing muscle. The only thing CrossFit does well is it gives people a sense of community which gives them a greater chance of succeeding in working out.

Ngl i hate on crossfit because of how prideful, egoistic and unwilling to accept feedback they are, i’m totally chill with whatever they do but I’ve been “corrected” by crossfitters way more than i’ve been by normal people, like you do know not everyone has to kip on pull ups and everyone’s got different objectives right?
