What could be tastier than crispy shortcrust pastry? And if you add salted caramel and nuts, you'll get an incredibly delicious tart! Today, I made tarts with salted caramel and nuts.
First, you need to prepare the dough for the tarts. Let's get started! With this amount of dough, I made one tart shell with a diameter of 16 cm and seven tart shells with a diameter of 8 cm. INGREDIENTS:🥧
- 100g cold unsalted butter
- 200g flour
- 24g almond flour
- 65g powdered sugar
- 50g egg
- pinch of salt
When working with shortcrust pastry, it's important to follow certain rules, especially not overheating the dough! If it does overheat, chill it in the fridge before continuing. The temperature of the room you're working in is also important; it should be cool, not exceeding 20-21°C.
After mixing, the dough should be rolled out immediately into a thin sheet, 2-3 mm thick. It's best to use a perforated mat for baking tarts. You can also bake on a regular mat or parchment paper, but the results are better with a perforated mat. Ideally, use perforated tart rings as well, but I use various types, including non-perforated ones.
Bake the tarts at 165-170°C for about 15-20 minutes. I bake the large tart for a longer time and with a weight. I'll show you in the next video)
