I have come on here since reading Steve died. He looks so good here and was on great form,. Like Phil, I absolutely loved this song from the very first time I heard it and my love for it as never faded through these 47 years. God bless you, Steve and thanks for the music.

From what I've seen, Steve sounds like a lovely, genuine person. "Come up and see me (make me smile) is one of the most uplifting songs ever written. Steve was touring in 2023 and it sounds like he enjoyed himself up until near the end. Vale Steve Harley RIP mate. Australia loves you.

Like Philip , my favourite song . It was such a highlight when it got to number one , I had already played Psychomodo and human menagerie to death when best years of our lives was released . 1975 what a year , just left school no idea what I was going to do . Things worked out well ,been married for 35 years two boys and have now just retired. All my family know what song will be playing when I shuffle off ✌️

Love the story about the cab driver, you really should have told him. A Dutch friend of mine told me he learnt to speak English just so he could understand and sing along with Cockney Rebel. Steve Harley, your touched lives in more special ways than you can ever imagine. Next time don't be so embarrassed to introduce yourself. In your own words you are "hard to ignore" :)

Talent is Talent is Talent. Let's see if todays so-called pop stars have the longevity of the 70's groups, I doubt it.
