"Yeah, I don't know who the fuck this guy is". First off, that was hilarious. Second, that was a genius bit of dialogue. Intelligence officers *hate* speaking their mind unless they know *precisely* who their audience is. Hoffman conveyed that exact sentiment with the simple declaration that he disapproved of the presence of a completely innocuous third party; a third party whose presence wouldn't have been necessary but for the window *he* broke.

@@Helmuesi911 I was eager to watch it when I bought it, but soon wished I had watched the previews. Maybe I did watch them when the movie first came out, and that explains why I'd never watched the whole movie and forgotten it existed. I found the movie's sleaze to be inescapable, so intertwined with so many early scenes of the movie, that I concluded that I wouldn't be able to glean any enlightenment from the film without crawling through dumpsters worth of sleaze to get there. It's like watching a film that is so unrelentingly and pointlessly violent that it obscures any enlightenment. When a film's vice is overdone to the point where it obscures learning, that's where I check out.
