I would love to come across one of these relics. I wonder how many of these are still sitting in closets and garages?

Great combo. Another example of less is more from a single pick up. Made for the blues.

The best way I can describe the tone of these old Harmony guitars is a Rose like tone, a beaurichtiful low end breakup with a simultaneous shimmering high end .

Tilt legs on the sportsman. Nice. I have tilt legs on my fender combo, but I don't know if I should be the one to install them on my Carr Mercury.

Nice to see one with a string action that is playable. If I recall, these guitars do not have a truss rod in them. Saw another video where a luthier repaired one of these by removing the fretboard, straightening the neck, and added carbon fiber rods under the fretboard to keep the neck straight and playable under string load. If this one is completely original without any work done on the neck to keep it straight, then I'd say it is a rare gem indeed. Nice guitar, I enjoy these videos. Best regards to everyone involved.

@@adanavalos3454 Yes, I saw that video as well. If I found one of these in playable condition today, I'd subscribe it to using Billy Gibbons strings for the rest of its life. Very low tension, and probably the only strings that may not cause a problem over time.

No offense intended, but that guitar was done a disservice with this demo. Speaker on the amp sounded blown and the player didn't do the guitar any favors.
