Great video. I just started using the graphite method. I do use the spray though, it’s just easier for me. One tip for travel if you don’t want to bring the can. Have a spare set and spray them, put in zip lock bag, and throw in your box. Love that sticker idea! Thanks

For me, I got the most buttery smooth motion when I did all of the following: 1. Thoroughly clean the plastic retainer and upright internals and work in mother's plastic restore to both parts 2. Submerge pillow ball in graphite lube (I have a small tub of it) 3. Polish the pillow ball with metal polish This takes time, so I only polish the PBs when I polished the hinge pins and shock shafts.

Back in the day OFNA's had dust boots over the pillow balls upgrade kits to keep them clean. Surprised Mugen hasn't given boots a try yet.

CRC Moly lube is pretty good also. It is a little better in high pressure applications. Ron Paris always stressed using it on the flywheel and flyweights of Onroad cars to keep them moving freely.

FYI, you can buy powdered graphite that’s used to lubricate locks. This is what I always use.

Yes, it will also work well, but can be messy to travel with.

I think if Mugan made a silicone boot to cover any dust from getting inside the pillow ball like traxxas does with the Revo's pillow balls.

@AdamDrake

I don't use grease because it will attract dust.

now what grade of pencil is fastest on the track. 6B is good for fast laps but i think 3H may be more consistent for long runs LOL.

Get a 5mm L wrench and put a drill stop collar on it. The stop collar helps in keeping the nut aligned when inserting.
