(Entrance Song)

This song is a penned song in 2022 supposedly dedicated for the 400 Years of Sanctity of San Isidro Labrador celebration of the parish. The original title: “Tinatawag sa Kabanalan” came from the theme of the Diocesan Shrine of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan. The title was replaced into “Pinagpala sa Pananahan” when the succeeding songs for the Ordinary of the Mass was accomplished by the songwriters because these young songwriters never pictured in 2022 that they will be able to finish the compositions and make it as an album for the parish’s Golden Jubilee. This song can be used as an Entrance Song for the Holy Masses especially in Ordinary Time omitting the second verse dedicated for the Feasts of Holy Men and Women.
PINAGPALA: MISA SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR
It was 2019 when the three young seminarians of the parish: Bro. Jerome A. Salvador, Bro. Lorenzo Bandillon Jr., and Bro. Basty Guhit created the idea of this album. They started with a song, “Awit kay San Isidro Labrador: Pintakasi’t Sinta ng Nayon ng Ligtong” and after it was hindered by the years of COVID-19 pandemic, the attempt of making this album resumed in 2021 spearheaded by Basty and Marvic Roda: two of the young music servants of San Isidro Labrador Parish. In 2022, the album was approved and acknowledged by their parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ryan Serafin P. Sasis for the event of the 50th Golden Jubilee of the parish. In the same year, they were endorsed to Mr. Rodiño R. Mendoza, a professional musician, composer, and arranger to finish and polish the liturgical album.
This humbled album is a story of how the “parroquia” became a haven of security and growth for all of its humble servants. The title: “PINAGPALA” is an equivocal word. First, “Pinagpala” as one of the Filipino terms for being blessed. Second, “Pinagpala” as another Filipino term for a person who was commanded to use a shovel for work. Indeed, this album is a testimony for the years of blessings being bestowed by the Good Lord to the humble folks of Ligtong and a testimony of blessedness while working and striving for holiness like San Isidro. SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR is the lifetime inspiration of the word “PINAGPALA”. This holy farmer became the effective intercessor of the “parokyanos” of Ligtong for the past 50 years and for the next years and decades to come. Lastly, this album contains a unique but simple form of music for the highest form of a Catholic worship: THE EUCHARIST. May the songs of this album inspire all of its interpreters and listeners to sing songs of worship for the Good Lord for His countless merits and mercy. “Ang mga kompositor ay daluyan lamang ng inspirasyon; ang mga awiting ito ay para sa buong sambayanan ng Parokya ng San Isidro Labrador! MABUHAY ANG PINAGPALA: ANG MAHAL NA PATRONG SAN ISIDRO LABRADOR! VIVA, TATA IDRONG!”
