Hey Everyone! Back with another turntable. This is a pretty high-end modern turntable. Found a fantastic deal and bought it to be shared on my channel. I hope you enjoy this video!
Good video. Loved the restoration of the lid. If I am not mistaken the plx 500 has a click in the center for the quartz lock. The 1000 had no click as it is a dj turntable so they include a zero lock button

It doesn't have the quartz lock but it has VTA which the LP120 doesn't. Oh choices....

Thats right! I'm definitely going to stick to my Technics automatics from the 1980s. I just put a big stack of records and let it be my own personal jukebox. Thanks for watching!

LOL, I'll be honest that it pains me to hear that anyone would do that to a record, as vinyl records run anywhere from $20 to $100 new. As long as they are not my records or my turntable, I'm glad you're able to enjoy it. I really appreciate you watching my video!

I know this is a year old and you’ve probably found out by now that this is actually the low end of the pioneer turntables that’s why it has some plasticy build to it. I’ve got the PLX 1000s and was looking for 500s reviews since I’d like to get those to rather take out to gigs and leave mine at home. Brand new is now $370. Great video. Thanks.

Cool review. How long do you think that the audio (RCA) cable is?
@joelsdiy9469

Yeah the av cables are no longer that 4-6 feet. If you need longer ones, you should get AV cupplings to extend the cable length. Thanks for watching. I hope this was helpful.

Yeah it was. The guy upgraded to a fancier Technics with more bells and whistles. This one does just fine. It would be my main one if it had all the features of the AT-LP120. It wont play records in reverse.

does it have a preamp in it? and if so, is it any good?
@joelsdiy9469

Yes it had a preamp. It did sound decent, but I am not a fan of onboard preamps. I prefer to have an external preamp or an amp with an onboard built in preamp for a fuller sound. The preamp robs you of that. Thanks for watching!

No my man. This is a DJ's turntable. All this thing does is withstand the wear and tear of having it's motor abused when DJ scratches records on it. I would agree that it is atrocious that this turntable only costs what it for that same reason. Thanks for watching!
