That setup is awesome and the Sony set looks amazing. This channel is an absolute treasure. I've been meaning to comment for a while so here goes: I think you're doing something unique, and the time, dedication and love for the subject matter really shows. As far as the cussin' and ramblin' is concerned, I love it! As someone who was born and raised / lives in Europe, I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly with almost everything you say, which just goes to show, we're all the same, no matter what side of the pond we were born. So many shared experiences. Proost!

I was just working on the pixel art intro for the next video for many hours, then decided to take a break and check on the channel a bit. Then I see this comment and wow, it's so nice to hear such nice words, such a genuine validation of my efforts here. Thank you so much. I really appreciate that you took the time to write this. Trust me, it meant the world to me, and it really motivates me, as sometimes I think I'm talking to myself here, lol. I also appreciate to hear that we share similar experiences despite our different upbringing, and that you find my ramblings and cussing entertaining. Stay tuned - I'm dialing it up to eleven! Already got another video uploading, with yet another new Trinitron to the channel, and it will be released as soon as the HD processing is done, and tonight I'll be playing the next playthrough already, with yet another new Trinitron, so lots of new stuff coming up, regardless of view count! PS: Just looked it up and "proost" is Dutch, correct? Very cool, I'm of Dutch heritage, last name and all. Dank u wel, my friend! :)

Holy moly - this takes me waaaaaay back. Pitfall on the Atari was not my first video game ever (that was River Raid), but it was probably my second. I played it for hours and hours until my eyes were bloodshot.

Oh, you had an Atari too! Awesome. Happy to take you down memory lane. Yeah, I played a lot of River Raid too! Awesome game. Others I remember playing include Oink!, Enduro, Seaquest, Pac-Man, Keystone Kapers, HERO, Demon Attack, Fishing Derby, Frostbite, and the list goes on. Good times, me and my cousins would play for hours every day. I'll be playing more Atari here as time goes by, probably all those games. I dropped the fanciness a bit, but having more fun making those videos, much easier now. Gargoyle's Quest is processing and tomorrow I'll be recording Donkey Kong Country, which I also played to death back in the day. Always happy to see you here, my friend. Thanks for commenting, I hope all is well your way.

Greetings! Oh yeah, I will be playing the rest of the Activision alphabet, and many other Atari 2600 games. I have a lot of consoles, so sometimes it takes me a while to get back to a previously used system, but I always do eventually.

I tell ya, the kind of crap that happens the minute I press REC that usually doesn't happen otherwise is crazy. Screw it, I'll leave all that stuff in, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting, I'm glad I made someone laugh with my shenanigans in the shed! :)

I could never play more than 10 minutes of Pitfall. But you did good. What other Atari games are you going to do? I have a 2600 and 7800, haven't played it in years though.

Thanks, bud. Same here, but trying to get the 32 treasures renewed my interest... for a while. I played a lot off camera... had my fill for now, that's for sure. Too bad I couldn't hack it, but it's possible with some practice. I'll be playing a lot of Atari here as time goes by, that's for sure. Everything I played as a kid, stuff like River Raid, Oink!, Enduro, Seaquest, Pac-Man, Keystone Kapers, HERO, Demon Attack, Frostbite, and more. Then some modern homebrew like Pac-Man 8K, Donkey Kong, Halo 2600, and man, there's a lot of titles. Oh, Solaris and Fatal Run too. I don't have a 5200 or a 7800 yet, but you bet I got flashcarts for them waiting here, eager for their eventual arrival! :)

Let's play some good Atari game on the E400. I want to see it, it will look unusual.

Hi there, thanks for commenting. I'll look into it, but yeah, that monitor doesn't really do 240p (I'm sure you already know), so you have to use OSSC and line double it to 480p. With added scanlines, it looks pretty similar to mid to high range BVM/PVM. It's what I used to do before getting 15kHz pro monitors, for that sharp look. The one thing you can do that is great with VGA monitors for the Atari 2600 and other consoles is that you can easily resize the image and make it full screen, without having to go into a service menu or opening the set. But a couple of my BVMs can do that too, and without having to deal with OSSC or any of that extra stuff. I will most likely reserve the VGA monitors for 480p + content in 4:3. I'm after a 14" Trinitron VGA, once I get it I will make some content on it as well. I still have a lot of CRTs to show here, the next video (currently uploading, hopefully it will be done by tomorrow) will feature a new set to the channel, the PVM-1371QM. Also, my E400 needs a WinDAS adjustment, desperately. The image is washed out. I am looking into it, can't wait to get it done and see it looking its best.

Picture looks crisp, have many crts all early to late 90s and my picture pretty bad on channel 36, no fine tuning options
@crt_rex

Yeah, this is because it's RGB SCART. But I do have RF-only sets and use them a lot, including on streams. Channel 36 seems like an odd channel to tune in. What TV do you have, what is the console you are trying to connect and what region is the TV and console?
