All my grill master friends tell me to buy a PK. They love them. I'm about to put in an order for the original which is made in Arkansas but honestly I'm disappointed that some of your grills/parts are still made in China. Please tell me you are in the process of finding a new country to do business with or even bringing back all production to the United States. Their human rights abuses, shady business practices, unleashing a deadly pandemic on the world, etc... make it unconscionable to do business with IMO.

I just cooked on one yesterday in an SCA event and won!! It's a great grill, all the improvements are well thought out. Unfortunately I was only borrowing the grill, back to cooking on the TX for now.

Calling the Classic Original and this New Original is a misnomer. I live in Beaumont Texas, where the PK was invented in 1952. My Dad bought himself one and one for me in early 1960. These are the TRUE ORIGINALS ! They are more rectangular, with more square corners and circular vents similar to this PK300. But the lid is hinged at the back, along the long side. I'm 71 years old now and still cook on my ORIGINAL at least once a week! Still going strong. A friend bought your Classic Original and I find the end hinged lid to be less stable than mine, which is hinged at the back. Still a grilling machine no matter what you call it !!

I have a video idea that can help new PK owners - a quick tutorial on varying vent positions (adding/removing air) and how that affects the temperature of the grill. And how to get certain desired temps quickly and easily. And maybe if using lump or briquettes helps regulate that temp.

I've been posting suggestions in your videos to add marks on the grill vents so we could know how far open they were. I was suggesting that for your other grill with cylindrical vents (for which such markings are still needed), but they do look nice on this model. Hopefully you will update your other grills too.

Lets say I have just grilled a steak and the charcoal is still burning. If you close all the vents and seat the top on the capsule, how long does it take for the fire to go completely out? Of course there will be variations in time, but am I correct in assuming the fire will go out without consuming the balance of the charcoal?
