I find that first cutting the sushi roll in half first - then cut from center to ends and you get a better cut (wipe the knife each cut is very helpful as well). Can't wait to try this one!! I bet using the smokehouse hummus as a spread before placing everything down would be amazing!!!

I agree with Ann….I just eat mine without any of the dippings. I usually add some carrots slivers, peppers, and cucumber along with all the other things you put in. They are so good and good for me with a thyroid problem, getting the Iodine in the Nori which I need. The quinoa and rice go very well together. Thanks ladies. I eat Whole Food Plant Based also. I have a quinoa flatbread recipe I make as a pizza crust. Easy and Delicious! I use different herbs and spices for a different taste in each batch. An easy meal with the high protein of Quinoa.

@@krystalgarcia3397 So simple, one cup of quinoa, 1 cup of water….put in blender. Mix until very smooth and add any kind of herbs, and or spices you want. I typically use a lot of rosemary, garlic powder and onion powder. Thyme is also very good. Spread the batter out on parchment paper thin all around evenly. Bake @ 350 oven for twenty min, flit the bread over and bake another ten min or until you have the texture you want….more time for crispier bread. Spread with your favorite pizza toppings. Just eating the bread without any toppings is good. Especially with a soup.

Hurray! Ann and Jane!! Besides the usual tamari, ginger, and wasabi, I put a dot of sriracha on each piece before serving. I once bought a tube of wasabi that had milk in it. Ridiculous! To make the rice stickier, add more water before cooking. It really helps. Skinny strips of jalapeno, grated carrot, chiffonade purple cabbage, sprouts or micro greens, romaine lettuce, long slices of roma tomato, slivers of steamed kabocha pumpkin, and slabs of mango are all great inside a nori roll. Thx for another fun video.

Great recipe ladies! I'd never thought of trying to make them with this rice mixture! I also like that you just used the rice and quinoa without the vinegar and sugar people usually add to the rice. I also didn't know about the toasted nori! It makes so much sense! Mine is always rubbery 😅. Do you know if the toasted kind is oil free? Thank you 🙏🤗

mushrooms (diced small) & cooked in a bit of tamari is indeed a yummy addition but after i pan fry it THEN i pop it in the air fryer till its crunchy & the mushroom flavour is intensified. Mmm its a way for folks who hate the texture of mushrooms to still get the benefits of the fungi but it's like a crispy treat! i add to nachos, wraps, sangers, salads, on top of pasta etc.

What picked ginger do you use? A lot that are sugar free are made with aspartame. I don't know if there is any sugar free or artificial sweetener free? Organic pickled ginger is made w organic cane sugar.

As a life long Californian, I strongly dislike Cali anything. Many of us prefer the word California. Cali is such a cast-off, throw-away word. Nevadans will tell you it’s Nevada (apple a) not Nevahdah. Can we not ask the same? We don’t ask for much or even expect much from people in other states. Would you like your state name given a cutesy name? Yuck. I like your videos. This is just a thought in case you might care. I don’t expect much if anyone doesn’t. Whatever dude.
