Mine did that as well, after maybe 4" to 6" of cutting when brand new. I wanted a pilot arc and thought I would try it that way to see if it would work. I ran a jumper wire with alligator clips from the ground clamp to the cutting tip. And it was pilot arc and worked. I made some cuts on scrap sheet metal and thought if I changed it to pilot arc so would be fine. Then I removed the jumper wire and it worked fine from that point forward. No idea how or why but it's been over a week and no issues at all now. I even cut a 1/2" x 6" thick plate tonight as well as several other cuts in thinner materials and it worked perfectly. It's worth a shot at least.

Same problem on my Accurate Tools cutter. New consumables didn't help, waiting on a new torch head to come in.

I just got my Cut-50 (identical) this morning.. Same problem.. I put a volt meter on the tip, = ZEROv.. I put the volt meter inside the tip, on the air nozzle, = 220v just like the manual says.. I think it's the nozzle.. Or the gap between them,, i think it should have contact.... idk.. I'm waiting for the extra consumables I purchased from Amazon with the cut-50.. Chinese quality could be anything.... Who did you contact for the problem ?

I contact the seller and he sent me a new spark circuit board. But it's still waiting on the shelf. How about yours? Did you get it work?

Hello need some advice please if possible on a ct 312 plasma cutter . baffles me, only works tiny bit when assembled really loosely that bad it jiggles and electrode pushed to one side, not when done up assembled properly ,the spark gap I believe correct also air pressure 4 bar I've tried slight ajustments each way with pressure. reading 70 volts off 30 amp when tested with multimeter at the inside of brass thread on gun and same when assembled wet loosely in angle as mentioned above but not direct if tip when assembled properly . It just will not ark up , and even changed to a new torch and with consumables. Could someone tell me please what I should be reading voltage wise or why it won't work. Thanks

It’s the “plunger” that gets stuck in these type of units.. it’s on a board when the cover is taken off. Mine did the same thing. Same setup and all. Mines the “Ramsond cut50”

Why would you try to cut the ground clamp 😩 if it came on you would have ruined the clamp 🤪 looking for content I guess 😬

Because he’s trying to show that the machine won’t cut….he knows it’s not going to fire because there’s a problem with it. To prove to whoever he was sending this to that it won’t cut, if it doesn’t strike against the clamp then it’s broke. Prevents mfg from saying maybe the clamp is dirty or not good contact with metal. So no…not looking for content I do the same thing.
