Some various tips and tricks I couldn't find a good place (or forgot) to mention: 🗑If you delete a parent layer, ALL linked child layers will also be deleted! This is how we delete the default model all at once at 7:00 ⚠There is no undo button (afaik of)! Save and overwrite your model frequently while working! You can always load an older version, or save duplicates as you go. ⌨You can use your arrow keys to adjust physics! Click on the slider you're adjusting, then use left/right to fine tune. Make sure you select a slider first though or nothing will happen lol 🛠When capturing PNGtuber+ as a game window in OBS/SLOBS, make sure you have transparency enabled! Otherwise, you'll get a black backdrop behind your PNGtuber. I'll add more mini tips as I remember them, but thank you for taking the time to watch this tut!

while this video didn't answer 100% of my questions (I'm still wrestling the mic sensitivity - it seems to detect my fan better than my voice despite full speaking volume directly into the mic???), this 100% clarified the confusing UI and made the whole app feel much more intuitive. I still wish I could pan my camera view though without moving the whole avatar lol
@tsurudraws
5 ай бұрын
PNGtuber+ has very limited audio adjustments; if its detecting your fan consistently, see where the green bar peaks on average while not speaking; adjust the slider to the left of that peak to help reduce background noise. Does your mic have directional sensitivity? If so, check that its facing you properly. Would also recommend double checking that you have the right mic detected in PNGtuber+

Hello! I'm having an issure with my pngs? When I turn Texture Filtering on, I get these small weird black pixels around each png? Its okay when I turn it off but then I get these jagged lines whenever the png moves. Iv researched around and found that its apparently because of the way you export the image? I tried exporting them in multiple different softwares, but i havent found a fix. Im wondering if any1 knows what to do? Any info would be greatly appreciated 🙏 thank you.

I'll try and give this a shot with my next personal model! will report back if i figure anything out, but my guess is if the edges of your png model arent pixel perfect (think fully opaque, clean edges), any artifacts will be emphasized

i just found a way you can export all layers at the same timeISH so you need to export it as a psd, then import it into photopea (a web-based photo editor thingy) then in the file tab theres an option called "export layers" theres like 3 options that are automatically selected just unselect them and then you can export :D ALSO make sure you name your layers with names that dont have any special characters because each png will keep its layer name and you cant export afterwards (though you should already name them as you go for easier navigation) this is a lot of steps but when theres a lot of layers to export this is a huge time saver

you can have as many different layers as you want additional freedom to animate/rig components separately; i.e. splitting hair for more motion, limbs for rotational animation, etc you won't have to redraw anything as long as you're fine with very limited animation/expressions.

Tsu, I remember trying that program HONK out but having to abandon it. In Clip, my drawings always come out with a white outline and it basically ruined the appearance in HONK. I'm worried it will do the same with this program. Do you have any issues similar to what I'm experiencing with white outlines in clip? Do you know how to fix it?
@tsurudraws
Жыл бұрын
@magpie9491 I'm afraid I'm not familiar with HONK at all! I've heard of it, but I haven't had issues with white outlines in my art showing up in either PNGTuber+ or more intense programs like VTS. I'd suggest throwing your art over a black background to check for any artifacts? Try to avoid using layer styles (Multiply, Overlay, Soft Light, Screen, etc); their effects do not work on transparent backgrounds, and will default to whatever the true color is; if you DO use them, the clipping won't be perfect near the edges if there's texture and uneven transparency. Try to also use harder brushes, with no bleed for outlines. But as long as you are exporting the items on a transparent background, there shouldn't be any artifacts or outlines.
@meakimon
Жыл бұрын
Heyyo @magpie9491 I had this issue as well. What helped me was to copy all the lineart layers that had an outline(so head, body, but not mouth, eyes), then merge them together and place them all the way at the bottom below the colours. Then I lower the opacity of that layer to 10%. Then I go to filters > blur > Gaussian blur and adjust it to 20%. Remember to save as transparent png. That's what works for me, so hopefully it helps. ^^

In OBS/SLOBS (or whichever streaming/recording program you're using), capture the PNGtuber+ window as a game window with "Allow Transparency" checked If you minimize the window at anypoint tho, it'll go inactive so just keep it up in the background.
