I love this scene because of the moral ambiguity. As men we can relate to how he felt being spoke too like that. But most off us believe violence (particularly against woman) is wrong. In an earlier scene at the gas station, they explain why they are with each other. He is basically giving her money so he can have sex with her and she indicates she is only with him because of this. For this reason, I think he is weak and is partly responsible for sewing the seeds of the disrespect she feels towards him. On the other hand, she is literally the walking definition of a bitch (that all the rappers rap about), as she is only with him for personal gain and openly admits to her friend that she cheats on him. I have little sympathy for both of them during this altercation as the situation is a result of their own character shortfalls.
