Very nice! This will be the first year we cut some of our birds up, usually just pack them whole.

Love the videos on processing chickens. I am in western NC looking for whole processed chickens. Would you be willing to msg me regarding your NC location and pricing or referral for an in-state chicken farmer? TIA.

why cut up a nice chicken leg its a great piece of meat if you sell them as one. so the thy and drumstick together.

Leg and Thigh together are called leg quarters and I already have enough of them in inventory. I was sold out of legs and thighs. That is why I separated them.

Shouldn’t you be wearing gloves for sanitary reasons since the chickens are for public sales?

As long as you maintain good hygiene(clean nails and trimmed) and no open wounds or cuts, gloves are not needed.

Awesome job, does the shrink rapped chickens look like normal shrink rapped or better because u put them through the vacuum chamber? Where do u sell , market , store exc ? What brand is the scale / printer ? Great job again
@FarmLifeNC

I think they look better because there isn’t an air gap. I sell direct to consumer and wholesale to restaurants and stores. The scale and printer is a Cardinal detecto scale

Thanks for the videos. I am just starting out and have processed 150 Cornish so far. Still using banquet tables and coolers. Trying to figure out the business end. Haven't sold any yet as the finished product doesn't look as good as yours. Any suggestions for someone starting out?

To be honest I would rather have a package of smaller chicken breasts with an extra breast rather than you cutting them all up into strips. The chicken breast meat is the money maker, treat it like gold.

Do you cut the heads off the whole birds? I can never get the necks on mine to set in the cavity and look clean

I super appreciate the videos you’ve posted related to chickens. I subscribed to you. I’m really trying to learn to farm, raise and breed chickens for meat and eggs. I see that you have a lot of videos growing flowers but flowers don’t feed my family, do you have any experience growing veggies etc? You’re called FarmLife so I was really hoping you had knowledge with growing fruits and vegetables?

I am pretty knowledgeable in many fields of agriculture, including vegetable and fruit farming, but I find it easier to buy my fruit and vegetables from other farms. Growing flowers is also a type of farming. It’s called Floriculture.

@@FarmLifeNC bummer! I was hoping that you might post videos related to veggies and fruit! It’s all becoming so expensive now that I’ve been trying to grow veggies and fruits to be more self sustaining but I’m very new at it and have run into issues (I can’t get a potato to grow no matter how hard I try! And artichokes grow but the leaves have nothing on them it seems!) anyway I enjoyed your detailed videos having to do with chickens very much so was hoping you might have some with farming fruits and veggies! Thanks for taking the time to respond to me!
