Cooking up a Tri Tip on the grill. One of my favorite cuts of beef.
I do sorta reverse sear - Start on the cold side of grill, shift to hot side around 80ish degrees, let it get the color I like on it, move it back to 'cold' side to finish cooking. I pulled this around 130ish - one side was a little over, another a little under. Came out perfect IMO.
Potatoes - Puncture on both sides, microwave for 2:30 - 3:30 minutes at a time, flipping and repeating till they feel soft when punctured. Then hit with oil / salt and throw on the grill to crisp up a bit.
Don't mind my daughter at the end there, she hates all food aside from chips and candy.
