It doesn’t matter lol, you can use acrylic primer on gel, gel x and acrylic. Just make sure you let it completely dry first. Another tip is, use acetone instead of alcohol to take out the oil!! Trust me, your gel will go on better and it won’t move.

I scuff the nail with a medium grit. Then I use a nail dehydrator or alcohol followed by a non-acid primer (usually used for dip). Then I go in with my foundation/base/structure gel (basically clear gel “primer”) followed by the color and then top coat! The adhesion of the base layer is super strong!

Thick layers increase heat spikes. You don’t have to hurt yourself, though. Some people are more sensitive, and some products are more prone to heat spikes even with thin layers. Just pull your hand out of the lamp, let them cool down, and resume curing in the lamp. 💅

It could have something to do with the lamp that you’re using to cure that particular gelcoat. If it’s cloudy, it may not be here long enough for the type of light you are using. And then again, the lamp you were using may not be the right lamp to cure that particular gel

Well you need a cleaner and primer BUT for gels- you don’t wanna use the same thing that you’re using for acrylics. For example, you cleanse the nail, preparing it for a gel nail but instead of a specific primer or Bonder, it could be called base gel or primer gel or even be called primer but it’s specifically for a gel, for example my product to it here at Gel to your nails is called BRIDGE
