I remember trading all my football cards for Final Fantasy with Jason when we were just kids. I remember meeting his brother Brian too. We we're in his room playing electric guitar. I had just recently learned 'South of Heaven' by Slayer and he was impressed. My best friend at the time said Jason was in a band and they had just learned the whole album 'Nevermind' by Nirvana. About a year later, he got signed and as they say the rest is history. Man, life is short and fast.

There was always something about Primer 55 that I loved hearing. I remember seeing the CD cover for Introduction to Mayhem in 2001 -- the one with the drawing of the two girls fighting, which the song they picked for the album title was fitting. "Introduction to Mayhem" was the type of song that made you want to fight, even if you didn't have any beef with anyone lol. When I first saw that CD cover in a local Disc Jockey store (now long, long gone ... a store of the past), I had no idea who they were, never heard their songs, but ended up buying it anyways and kept the CD on repeat for a solid week. Would have to say "Loose" was among my top 5 songs of theirs. Then they came out with (the) New Release album and absolutely loved "This Life", but could never understand how they never got popular. No one in my high school at the time knew of them, let alone the local social groups I hung around. Only other person that knew who Primer 55 was the guy I had met one night when we were talking about the types of music and bands we liked .... 17 years later, here we are married lol.

@@GregKhar-NU-Metalhead2000 I'm going to have to humbly disagree. Nu metal to me is just a generic term like alternative. A collection of bands that are difficult to describe put together because of the time they came out and a very small resemblance like classic rock. There's next to no metal in Korn, Crazy Town, POD and Linkin Park but they are considered nu metal. Korn and POD have more hardcore punk going on Crazy Town is like modern Usher type r&b mixed with simple rock and Linkin Park is hard rock mixed with hip hop and ambient. Then you have Static X, Slipknot, SOAD, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit, hed PE, Sevendust ect. All are very distinct bands that share mixing and melding different genres. Primer 55 is definitely mixing rap, funk and metal. Calling it nu metal is fine I'm cool with it because it gives you an idea about the music but it definitely is rap/metal.

Thanx. I wouldn't have gotten through highschool without the first album. Super freak luv is my favorite then loose then the big fuck you!!! God i wish i saw you guys live especially ozzfest back in the day... I found out about Primer 55 at 2:30 in the morning when MTV2 actually played good music and i recorded the video loose. Almost every morning i replayed loose as well shuvel's set if off to get me amped for the 7 hours of bullshit that school brought and it payed off in more ways than one. That sucks about JSIN. I fought addiction with pain killers and i know how bad it is to kick the habit if he ever does. Life is painful and if it wasn't than Primer wouldn't have been. BTW the second album got me through the pain of 9/11... I just bought family for life and the new songs even though there were only about 4 of them were tight just like the first album. Peace out man and keep playing for us hardcore fans.

I have great memories hearing this song for the first time many, many years ago and i have been a fan of Primer 55 ever since. It such a tragedy we lost an amazing performer, rapper and singer who had such a powerful shout. Rest in peace J-Sin :(

Imagine aggressive inline skating to this, only to fall and almost break your ankle trying to grind a rail. (True story) I miss the early 2000s so much. It's like a friend died or something.
