This technique I used to do in the late 70's. An old pro painter in California shared it with me (Before House of Kolor was a Household name but gaining fame) and I used to get many freaking out when I did it like I ruined the great overall color of Grey!! LOL, they loved my work, but thought I was stupid wasting black epoxy on a fresh all grey epoxy primed vehicle. Glad to see you're sharing this with everyone. I wish we had graphite back then; I would just lightly mist a rattle can of black over areas that needed it but Graphite dust is a great way to get it done quicker and cheaper!

In a reply you stated a 1.4 fluid tip but in the video you said 1.6 Sata primer gun. Do you use different sizes for the first coat over bare metal vs the high build application over body filler? How many coats of VP2050 over bare metal and how many coats when using as high build over body filler? Do you change the mix ratios for different applications vs what is shown on the PPG tech sheet? What is your air settings at the gun? Linear Blocking Tools are the best thing to happen to auto body since the invention of compressed air! Awesome videos!

What follow up grits are you using to block the dusted primer? Do you spray a sealer for a final coat before color? Your newer video mentioned DPVL? If so how long would you wait for shrinkage using a sealer? Thank you. Very helpful. Do you have a video showing the very beginning stages to prepare metal for the first coat? Especially if you have some surface rust and areas like under the hood that aren’t flat.

It looks like the primer stays shiny after it's dried? I like that. Gonna have to try it.

We cut it with 240 then guide coat and block with 320-400 then a final block with 5-600 before paint
