I want to try and work out how to make each arc have its own colour, or maybe set up 4 colour variables. Not entirely sure how to make this happen. I guess it would be random colour since that’s the driver. Thanks Tim, so much inspiration!!!

can you explain why adding x/y to framerate works in the wave?

It all make sense if you print out the frameCount within a for loop and the frameCount outside of the for loop. You'll notice that for every draw loop, the for loop is refreshed multiple times. Lets assume we're in the first period of the draw loop frameCount. Without x and y the result of wave would be 0.017452406 for every time the for loop is refreshed. BUT: Since the for loop is refreshed multiple times within one draw loop, x and y have already been itterated 30times, while frameCount Draw is still at 1. MEANING: Because the wave function is called in the for loop it will generate different values for mappedWave and selector to work with. 1: 0.017452406 2: 0.034899496 3: 0.05233596 4: 0.06975647 etc. ... This creates the result of a time shift. So basically, the selector doesn't get the same value 30 times within one draw loop, it gets 30 different ones and since a specific tile is only drawn if the selector's value has been tested (which can't be done at once), the program has to test 30 different values which, again, results in the tiles being drawn time shifted. Try it out yourself and use the println function to compare the numbers. That helped me to wrap my head around it. I hope this makes sense. I tried my best to explain it, but if anything is still unclear, lmk. Explaining helps me understanding it better as well!

Hello Tim. I have a question. Does Processing work similar to JavaScript? And if it doesn't, what are the alternative to do the art design and its interactive?

P5 js (for the web) is JavaScript. "Standard" Processing is Java. :)
