@christophermyers8157

Excellent! This is how you call someone out. He listed the specific person first, then began his discourse. Most professors will blame everyone in the class and then have them peer pressure the rest of the class to out the culprit. Never blame a group if you suspect an individual. This is a real teacher. He calls out the exact person and lists the exact problem. Anything less than this is not the correct procedure for being interrupted while teaching. Anything more than this is not the correct procedure either. There is no place for guilt or blame in the classroom just facts about behavior when it comes to disruptions like this. The student would have been embarrassed and dropped the class, or more than likely ceased said behavior. The professor has to make a point of being annoyed, but he also has to remember the student is paying his salary.

It may make sense to you, but as we're nearly a quarter of the way through the first century of the 2000s, it won't make sense for long. I would argue we will enter the "Late 2000s" in the year 2750. When I was in the first year of my clinical psychology PhD program, the other three first year candidates and myself were listening to a lecture from a distinguished professor on the ways in which population base-rates affect the frequency of Type I and Type II classification errors of psychometric tests. The prof was speaking very quickly and unclearly. One of my classmates asked me, in a whisper, what the doctor had just said. Before I could whisper back, an old, solid oak chair whizzed through the air just inches from our heads, shattering in splinters on the wall just a few feet behind us. One of the chair legs shattered a huge window, sending glass falling eight stories onto the sidewalk below. He had forcefully thrown the chair at us. After bellowing at us regarding our lack of respect for him, he stomped, red-faced, out of the classroom and locked himself in his office. He never mentioned the incident, and the window was repaired by the next day. It turned out that this brilliant man had poorly controlled bipolar disorder.

Often it is those with mental health issues that get involved in psychology for the very purpose of understanding themselves better. As I’m sure you know lol. (I am doing my bachelors and this is my reason)
