The floorplan is nearly identical to the mid-70's Serro Scotty 18' "Trunkback" model I had many years ago. It even had the storage over the rear bed that would fold down to create a bunk -- we stored our bedding there during the day. We slept five in ours, the 4 & 6-year-olds on the bunk and 1-year-old on the dinette. It even had the square bumper to store the sewer hose. We pulled with a Chevy Astro. Nice looking update!

Nice review and you’re dead on with the interior decor being blasé and the front door slamming open . Also investing in a better sleeping mattress seems like a good idea also . I prefer full shades and even blackout windows for those who like the nightlife of camping and sleep late . Curtains are horrible for keeping the morning sun out . Also I didn’t see a place for a TV for those bad weather days . But again , let’s talk about the real winner in this video . That wonderful outdoor mosquito net ! 😅 thanks 🙏

I would like to see the GVWR and the towing rating of your vehicle. Most people don’t factor the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating which is more important, in my humble opinion, to the dry weight as it includes the propane tank and all items required for camping. Over all good job on the video.

Right off the get...I gotta say I have a big problem with the chinsy awning as an awning is one of the important primary features of any camping all the way back to medieval times. Having an awning one can only use in good weather defects it's purposeq as much camping experiences both rain plus windy days. This one is cheap material and poles that will sag and fail. This has to be put in leaving your possession wet, stuck inside by no ability to shake off rain before entering or step out to cook...though $40000k! Even old canvas tents had a solid, pitched awning that was heavy duty enough not to shake and tear in wind. Secondly saying the seams won't leak because of continuous roll while know humidity still delaminates that material instead of the over the under fiberglass clamshell pod this should be done in at a $$$$40,000k price tag.

I’m new to the rv world. I’m curious why the interior design and aesthetic seems stuck in the 70s,80s, 90s for so many trailers and RVs. I’m a bit surprised that the interior aesthetics haven’t kept up with the market and the times. Any good options for light trailers that have a more updated feel inside? Genuinely curious. I am in love with Safari Condos, but the price tag is hard to stomach.

I’d say most trailers on our channel have fairly up to date interiors. Re the ones that are old fashioned, part of it is manufacturers trying to create a cabin vibe, & part of it is cost. You’ll be happy to know Prolite left a comment saying they are updating their interior soon! My favourite interior this far is from Intech. The Sol model we reviewed in Florida was like a stunning bachelor apartment. Thanks for watching!

How tall are you? I have a Winnebago Minnie drop with a wet bath and the shower is nonsense. I'm 5' 4" my husband is 6' 1". We had to move the shower head over to the outside wall to stop bumping our face in it. At the 9:04 min. mark you are sitting at a table with BIRD CRAP all over it, Why? The bed in mine is like yours but it's a short queen, this one looks a bit narrow. I cannot make the bed well. Too hard to pull the corners up for the sheet. I prefer sheets not sleeping bags. The fridge is like mine, too small a freezer. We saved money by buying a lot of our food when traveling from NH to Yellowstone. Love the area you are camping in although it's dry camping. We've boondocked a few times in the past 4 years with our little Winnie. We are looking for a slightly bigger camper since storage is a problem and I've had it with the shower. We also don't close the bathroom door, but the wet shower curtain gets annoying when it clings. Just normal growing pains. Happy Trails to you!

Need to explain the battery, air, heat, animals left inside and kitchen. No one wants to see you in a shower. Show the entire inside from front door to each side, then explain kitchen, dining, bedroom. Thanks and I love the weight as I can only pull 1999 lbs. lice is good and easy to listen to. Its billed for a family but logically demo with only a single person. Then notice he had to go buy a separate dining tent because at $40,000 it should have come with an add a room instead of chinsey awning. They would nt even expand the comode room or add a simple toilet paper holder to door though there a shower curtain to cover it. Nor do they provide shampoo/soap and toothpaste holder. Also cabinet doors swing down instead of up that causes 2 problems. And like he said it got cold in there ( no surprise camping) because they chinsed on insulating, especially floors and outside storage. in my lance they provided carpet including bath and put dump knifes in heated box. If they provided the add a room, one wouldnt have to tare apart the bed just to eat in the rain. Oh yeah for 40000k you still have to buy a separate dining tent that is often collapsed in rain. Neighbors was wrapped around tree. I will say the awning windows are good as well as now 2 door frig and solid wood cabinets with plenty cubbies. But then where do the bikes go if they took up hitch by spear as didnt even put on luggage rack bars for 40,000k! Although the aening windows are reasonable design, the curtians in an rv are inadequate against the cold drafts that will be encountered even in August. It should have come with snap insulated boat coverings that look even tidier as one can always just hang some curtains if want to decorate. Now the counter should never exit. Instead a cupboard should pop up in front of say stove, to form an L , especially since theres no oven with only storage under or even moveable tray table to put draining dishes or even a pop down table on sink window over the sink on since how can one use the stove as counter when there dirty pots and pans on it. All that would have been not an issue with the add a room with outdoor kitchen, including ability to then extend bath/toilet area and really be capable to function more than 1 person even in rain weather. We eere capable to 2 queen beds, 3 adults and 2 large dogs in a pop up since it hF an add a room and large stove that detacted to outside with a double sink indoors and counter room galore. Plus the dinette could seat 6 or sleep a fith person. These new campers manu want 15 times the fees but often lack actual liveability save for some usb outlets and ac unit. Never mind tv, they even stripped having a radio and atrenna for needed weather, forest fires and enjoyment to use your cell that is if you can get signal. This camper is all cutesy but lacks significant items that campers actually should meet. Its design to cost alot but then get sick dealing with flimsey awnings, tryong to wash, rinse dishes where no room or cook a whole meal. Where does crock pot go...in the covered o🎉udoor kitchen of coarse along with the wet jackets, towels, pets and mud sneakers and lawn chairs not to get ripped off overnight. Come on, for $40,000 clams it needs a zipped up add a room with insulation instead of chinsey awning with no pitch on skinny aluminum poles that will bend first dog or thing that bumps it. Some snap padded window coverings, a commode that actually fits an adult with tp holder and somehere to bring bikes and another roof lug rack for kayakes or cargo box at minimum. Instead of saying oh look there this pop up shelf that everyone suspects would be a hassel jamming exit but wants to believe somehow theyll magically figure out a go around. Next time demo with at least two for full 2 weeks. I see you ended up putting the awning back in right after showing it up. The manu might as well left the awning off and not charge for it it your going to need purchase a dining tent anyway for rain and mosquitos. Then you could at least not have to run across yard in the rain. Im sorry but these manu stripping insulation and adequate stuffthen charging like they did is a real pet peeve with campers. One has to tear down to go to dump because no where to hang a honey pot. Wait til your camping and someone gets the flu as often happens . Run in rain to john then. Put some needed stuff back on this thing for 40 grand!
